I don't know if there are A&E FP+ Cancellation threads any more, but there were last fall and maybe since availability is becoming an issue again with party season they will pop up again. THey are like the ADR cancellation threads on the restaurant forum. A thread like that was the only way I was able to find a FP+ for A&E last year. I hope a similar thread will help you this year!

It would be so nice if we had one sub-board with FP questions / frustrations / issues only. With the huge thread started by Mesa as a sticky, together with cancellation/trading threads for hard-to-get FP's.

In general:
The easywdw.com forum does have a separate board for everything related to FP, any idea why the DIS doesn't has that?
I think, that would make it easier to find information, see if questions have been asked before.

Sorry! My window opened up last night too. I wasn't able to get the day I wanted, so I added it for the very last day we will be there. We weren't planning on going to the parks that day. So know I have to decide if adding an extra park ticket is worth it or not. We are driving home that day, so we can leave any time we want and it is only a 6 hour drive so leaving later isn't a big deal. But it does throw a wrench into our plans.

I have three A&E FP for the afternoon of the 25th that I might have to let go. I will make a cancellation thread if I do. I was only able to get two completely different times for each half of our group. If I cannot move them around in the next weeks to coincide with each other I am going to release for the three adults who wouldnt be sad missing the kids meet the princesses.

I just released two of the afternoon times because I found a morning time for them! Just keep trying! Things seem to be changing constantly.

If you can't get a FP+ you can usually find a short standby line later at night. Just remember that the A&E line closes a half hour before park close.

Just recently, we found the actual wait was less than 10 minutes just before 11:30 pm. The posted wait was 90.

We still had time to ride 7D twice after meeting the princesses before the park closed.

We felt it was a pretty efficient use of a half hour.

I am using the app and updating/changing for one person and attraction at a time. It doesn't release anything until you like the new option

Today is my 60 day mark to assign fast passes. I stayed up and got on the site exactly at midnight. The Elsa (Frozen) fast passes were gone for each day of my Sept vacation. How does that happen? I dont understand how they could no longer be available at 12:01. I'm so upset
Any insight?

i do feel for you cuz i just went through the same thing at midnight.
i don't care about A&E but its my sister's trip and she wanted me to do her FP+ and she has 2 DD's in love with frozen.

it was not available for either of her MK days so what i did was booked each person's FP+ separately which meant it took a lot longer to do.
then i coordinated it so all of their FP+ times overlapped.
they are a party of 4 but her youngest is 2yrs5mos so she doens't need FP+.
their times are 12:55pm-1:55pm, 1pm-2pm, and 1:10pm-2:10pm so they can all go at the same time between 1:10pm and 1:55pm.

thank god i didn't have a hard time getting their other FP+ selections that day for the exact same time even though i booked separately.

and of course for some reason disney's website does not update ages as time goes on so when i went to make only her one DD's FP+ it said i couldn't because she is 5. well she was 5 when they went 2yrs ago. now she is 7. so i had to go change her age before i could make her FP+ selections separately from her parents.

I was shocked last night too! I was only able to snag one on the very last night of our trip. Even primeval whirl had no availability sept 24!

I too was booking last night and noticed that about Primeval Whirl. No biggie for us since we have a 4 year old but it did surprise me. And thank goodness I have no girls to have to worry about AE because when I logged on last night at 12:01 there were no passes for both days we were going to MK for them. Other than that I did mange to get the rids our family wanted around the times we wanted that fit in with our meals. I tell ya this stuff gets complicate just a tad bit!

I agree it's a combination of shorter hours, reduced crowd levels most likely. The bright side is reduced crowd levels could make for shorter standby lines.

If it makes you feel better, I still complain about standing in line to see Buzz n Woody at HS. Every trip, 45 minute lines that never let up. A&E isn't the only long character line- what I wouldn't give for FP+ to be offered there!

You got that right! Buzz & Woody stay packed at HS. One year right when the roped dropped that is where we went and waited for 15 minutes so my son could be the first one in to see them. That line never lets up and it's right next door to Toy Story Mania and the whole street stays crowded!

It's what I think of anytime anyone complains about a 45 minute line for A&E. Not that it isn't frustrating being shut out of a FP+, but with ones like Buzz n Woody, you're either hitting rope drop (which we never do at HS) or standing in line, there's not even a chance of getting a FP+.

Not in our experience. The shorter operating hours on the party days really wrecks havoc with A&E, as people who are shut out of FP+s have no choice but to go SB. On the non-party days, the crowds flock to the MK and A&E's line skyrockets as a result.

OP, we're party-season people, and the only way we've been able to get A&E on all of our trips was by searching for one at a time and using overlapping windows. It takes diligence and frankly, a lot of time. I'm praying that my kids decide to forgo meeting A&E again like they did on our last trip because I don't look forward to spending as much time as is needed to secure A&E FP+s during party season.

Don't forget that people with party tickets can also make FP+ reservations for 4-7.

We met Anna & Elsa on our last trip and I'm so glad that we don't have to do it again this year.

My fast pass window opened last Tuesday and there was also no Anna and Elsa at 12:01. I was so bummed! On Saturday, I was randomly checking and there was one available in the middle of my trip so I scooped it up! There is still hope!

My advice is to keep trying. Also check with the concierge at your resort. I was there in June and was booking something something else and he asked if he could look at my fast passes. HE pulled up the ones for AK and got them all changed to much better times than what I was able to get online. Granted he didn't change any of the rides/show just times but its worth a try.

I booked our 60 day FP+ reservations for Sept 19th this morning around 9:00 am. I no longer stay up til midnight to do it There was availability for Anna and Elsa later in the week. I have teenage boys, so I don't need those FP+ reservations, but they were available the 26th this morning.

We were there last month. I was looking to move my FP+ for the next day and A&E popped up as an option. I almost grabbed it because it was my baby girl's first trip (well her and her twin brother), but since she is way too young to care i opted not to. So don't give up hope!

For those who met Anna and Elsa near closing time to avoid the wait, how was your experience? Did you feel rushed? Was there a decrease in quality of the meet/conversation, so to speak, Anna wasn't as energized, perhaps?
