FP+ making me really nervous

Just wondering and sorry if this has already been asked but what if there are lots of fastpasses booked but then people don't turn up to use them and don't cancel them, wouldn't that spoil it for people who really wanted them? Hopefully there won't be many instances of this,

Again this is no different than with the legacy system. Haven't you ever pulled a paper FP, then decided to leave the park or not been in the right place at the right time and decided not to use it. I've never, ever felt guilty about that or thought I was cheating anybody else out of anything or being unfair in any way. Essentially, if people book FP+ and don't use it, it just means less people going through the FP line and quicker standby times.

agreed on the hopping.
it's even better now. Doing RD in the morning, getting one park done from opening time to 11:30am, then resort and pool, and then another park late afternoon/evening with FP+ with the guarantee of having 3 attractions done in a very limited time when no FP would have been left with the old system.

I remember some days, where we were into EPCOT, did 3 attractions and 1 TS dinner, and out within a 3 hours timeframe.
for example :
ride 1, 6pm to 7pm, ride it a 6:50
ride 2, 7pm to 8pm, ride it at 7:05
TS meal at Garden Grill at 7:15
ride 3, 8pm to 9pm, ride it after meal (8:35 roughly) (soarin' in that example, to be straight out of the restaurant and on the ride)
out of the ride just in time to watch Illuminations.

out at 9:45. Total 3 hours, 3 rides one TS meal and a nightime spectacular.

Now, I never managed to beat that with regular FPs. And it certainly beats an average of 1 FP every 90 minutes as a PP mentionned.

It won't have more impact than guests pulling paper FPs and not using them.

Now FP+ is in place for all guests I don't see that it is any different to using the old FP system :confused3 If you weren't there early FP ran out for the headliners anyway. The anytime use window has been closed for a good while now anyway so if you had adapted to that then FP+ isn't that big of a change.

We used FP+ in December. I did not book everything 60 days out. Most days I booked on the day and changed them whilst in the parks. Yes I was on site which meant I could use my phone but overall I really enjoyed it. :goodvibes

I agree if people didn't show up until late you may have missed out on fast passes but we can show up before it opens and the selections could be run out. Ok not on everything but certainly is possible according to other threads of the popular ones.

We are going half term in the UK so the first half is ok looking and then Memorial Day hits and it gets much busier.

Hopefully the "testing" will have been sorted out by May (but I have my doubts on how) I am willing to give it ago but at the moment I am failing to see how this can be any good for us, and the way we tour. I don't mind change, but I do need to see some benefits of the change for me the benefits don't appear to be showing themselves.

Unfortunately your plan wouldn't work as it won't allow you to book a FP+ until about an hour after your ADR.

I don't think that's the case now - I have one day where I have FP+ booked straight after an ADR (lunch at 13:10, FP+ booked 13:25-14:25).

Hi Wilma, yep this has happened with us too, usually we would give them away if we didnt want them (unless my daughter wanted them as a souvenir lol), we are not there until end of oct so hopefully all should be a lot more organised by then :)
