Is there a separate entrance for fp+ lunch at BOG? Do you walk past the stand by line with everyone giving you death stares:rotfl: LOL j/k, but seriously is the fp+ line/entrance easy to find. I've never eaten at BOG so thought I'd ask :)

No idea. However, on our last trip (I was VERY PG) and I had to eat at BOG (lunch). I certainly would have given death stares to anyone who just sauntered passed me in line. :rotfl2:

Hope you get a real answer soon (b/c I'd like to know too since I want a FP+ for our next trip!).

Im interested in this myself. Was just there last month and waited in line 40 mins while the lucky FP guest walked by.

as you face the bridge to go into the restaurant, there is a small building to the left, you check in there. The standby line is to the right.

So, after the FP+ check in, do you just walk all the way up into the restaurant, or is it a small line up there to wait to enter?

If I do FP+ for seat only (not pre-order food), is the line to order food very long? time-consuming?

I am debating whether to do BOG FP+ also.

You walk across the bridge to the front of the castle/restaurant and a CM will show you where to join the line. Once we joined the line it took about 10 minutes to order and find seats.

After checking in at the booth you walk right along side the line across the bridge to the entrance where a CM is waiting and controlling the flow if the line to to the building. I told them I had a fast pass and the lady at the booth told me to report to him. He directed us into the resultant where we joined the line to order at the kiosks. (10mins)My DH husband did hear a woman say "you can't fast pass food" before we walked in. Then after we walked away he heard her say that was unfair.
So you might get some looks but if they were here on the boards they too could have booked a FP for lunch lol

When does FP+ become available for lunch? it keeps telling me nothing available for first week of March

We did FP for lunch in November, and we were the very first family into the castle that day! We checked in at the kiosk at the beginning of the bridge (where the line was already queued up to!) at about 10:20am, and they directed us to walk straight up to the castle and stand under the umbrella to the left of the very long line. I ignored the line, so I honestly couldn't tell you if anyone gave us the stinkeye, but I did get the feeling that some were thinking "Where do they think THEY are going??!!" LOL

I would highly recommend the FP, and doing it right at opening - the CM at the front of the line was really great with DS7 and DD9...she told them that they had a very important job that day to lead the commoners into the castle LOL. We got to see the opening ceremony, which was cute...it was really fun seeing the big castle doors slowly open to reveal the chefs walking out to say hi to us. We were greeted right away by a host who led us over to the ordering kiosk to check our pre-order, which he couldn't find, so we all reordered right then and there (which was good because we had surprised the kids with the trip, so I did their preorder about a month ahead of time...none of the kids ordered what I had initially ordered for them LOL, AND DS7 and DD9 were allowed, by the CM, to order whatever they wanted, not just what was on the kids menu...shhhh!!! I know we are not supposed to talk about that, but since I brought it up..LOL...the CM who checked us into the resort at POR also told us, without us asking, that the kids would order form the kids menu at TS places, but could order anything from any CS place, so if TWO CM's allowed it, I'm going to say it was OK at least for us, at that time, in those locations LOL)

Anyway, food at BOG was very good, the atmosphere was beautiful, and we lingered a little longer than we normally would because none of us wanted to leave!!!

If the pattern holds, March should open up between Feb 14-20th. If you can log in then you are on the right track. There will be lots of posts here when March becomes available.

One of the perks of staying onsite and being on the DIS boards! :cool1:

perfect, thanks, been checking everyday

DH and I did BoG FP+ yesterday.
The standby line at 10:40 am was well into Fantasyland. Had to have been 100+ ppl in line already.
We checked in at the small booth to the left and was directed into the castle. Once inside, a CM confirmed our names, our order (we preordered) and our bill was charged to our room.
We found a seat in the West Wing and our food was delivered almost immediately. We are our fabulous lunch and left.

Total time from check in to leaving???? 17 minutes!
Do I recommend FP+?? A big heck yes!!!!

This was truly a big help for our day.

We were offered a FP for BOG from Disney via an email we got the day of our arrival. We were able to pick an arrival time and also preorder our meals. The lunch food was great! Sandwiches had a gourmet taste. One of my kids got the pork kids meal and ate every bite.

The FP+ check in booth is to the left of the stand by line. Once you check in you walk up the left side of the walkway into the restaurant. We were seated within 1 minute.

We dined on a Monday and the stand by line at 11am was LONG and headed into Fantasyland...My guess was an hr wait at the least.

If you can get a FP for lunch it is WELL worth it!

Loving all the information! I can hardly wait until I get to try for myself. :goodvibes
