Okay, we are luddites who will be using the FP+ kiosks to book fourth and fifth fast passes. Anybody on these boards used them lately? Do they have a long wait, and are there any locations that are less well known, especially at MK? Thanks!

They used to be INSANE. Now that you can book your 4th, 5th, etc FP from MDE, they’re significantly shorter. MK has them located near Stitch, Philharmagic and I believe the restrooms close to Aladdin’s. There could be one that I’m missing though.

I would say that they are definitely shorter than they used to be. They are, however, generally being used by people with less knowledge of how the system works and that makes the lines slower than they look. We had to use them a couple of times last trip when the app was spazzing. At one point we were behind someone who thought you talked to the screen. They were yelling "Space Mountain fast pass" at it.

That’s obviously not going to work. You have to say “Hey Mickey” first. Duh.

What is a luddite?
TL;DR history lesson, because I have had to explain the statement, "we're practically Luddites about tech" to people:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luddite

"The Luddites were a group of English textile workers and weavers in the 19th century who destroyed weaving machinery as a form of protest. The group was protesting the use of machinery in a "fraudulent and deceitful manner" to get around standard labour practices. Luddites feared that the time spent learning the skills of their craft would go to waste as machines would replace their role in the industry."

Too bad, so sad for them, it didn't work - there were a number of grisly public executions to prove a point to the public, and the exploitation of workers during the Industrial Revolution continued. More machines meant more child labor ;)

Thanks for the responses. Today a luddite basically means someone who is reluctant to adopt all the latest tech.

Does Disney still have cast members with tablet PCs who supplement the kiosks?

there is one by jungle cruise or there was.

When I passed them a few times on my recent trip, there wasn't anyone using them. I didn't see any CMs near them.

They were all full with people at MK yesterday.
No long lines but all were full all day

Guess it's random... only saw a kiosk in use once. Always empty rest of the time.
