FP kiosks, how do they work?

How exactly do the kiosks work? Do you sign in to MDE, scan a MB? Just wondering as we may get more at MK.

You scan your band or ticket. A list of attractions come up. You make your choice and it will show you the times available or if it is not available. It's kind of cumbersome. I wish it would show you the next time available right on the list. You have to actually choose first to see availability. I was at MK today, I first tried Splash Mountain, it said not available. Then I tried Little Mermaid, not available. Then I chose Jungle Cruise, it listed times available, the first was 1:50pm, this was around 12:30pm.

You scan your MB and your info shows up. It shows what you already used and then what is available. After I used my first FP+ I went to the kiosk and changed the time on the next one to a earlier time. Did that for my 3rd one also. This way I was able to get more FP+ earlier than my original reservations. There are CM's at each kiosk to help. I was able to snag a 7DMT on my MK day as one of my extra FP+.

using the MDE app? Is it easier to use the kiosk?

I think I remember reading somewhere that you should just choose any available attraction from the kiosk and then tweak it using the app? Does anyone have any idea which is easier to manipulate, the app or at the kiosk?

Also, if all our magicbands/tickets are linked on MDE do I need to scan each MB at the kiosk to get the 4th FP or can I just select all like I did when making my original FP+ reservations...

I found it easier than the app, and much less cumbersome than running to the other side of the park to get a paper one. Pick an attraction. See the times. If you don't like it, just hit the back button and try again. On the app on my phone it always moves much slower for me and won't let you edit a time until it is reserved (making you do it all twice). Here you see every available time on the first pass. Much better than the old locked-in-time passes.
