FP+ In 2 Parks - Do Tiers Matter?

I searched but couldn't find an answer...I have 2 FP+ booked in HS, ST (9am) and SDD (2pm). We plan to hop to EP right after SDD.

Can I book (or attempt to) a FP+ for FEA at EP after I use ST, or do I have to wait until after we use SDD because both are Tier 1? Does tiering matter at that point?

Tiering wouldn't matter, and you would have to use the SDD fastpass before you could then book a fastpass for another park. You can't have fastpasses for multiple parks at the same time. So once you tap in for SDD, you can try and get FEA in Epcot. Given that your SDD is later in the afternoon, you might have some trouble getting a decent FEA pass, if at all.

I believe that you should be able to get your 3rd FP after you tap in for your first FP.
When we have done this in the past, I don't recall having to use both before we ould get a 3rd in a different park.
Getting a FEA FP can be challenging, but it does happen.

Hmm, I'll have to look into this again then. I swear that when I tried, I couldn't have different park passes at the same time, and had to use up whatever current park I was in before I could get a different park.

This is correct. Once the first FP has been tapped the 3rd FP could be made at a different park even if there is still a remaining FP to be used at the first park. Tiers don't matter when hopping either except that you can't hold 2 tier 1 in the same park at a time.

You can book your FP (whatever tier) for the other park as soon as you tap into the first FP you have that day. You can see the full detailed explanation at the thread below
