Multiple guests who have a WDW resort reservation that begins 5 to 10 days before yours can have already chosen them, days ago.

Is it a good system?
No. It's FastPass+.

Oh DO I feel your pain. :sad2: Tonight 00:00 was my turn too...BANANAS how my targets were gone!!! :furious:

Sorry there were none available. It's unbelievable how popular this continues to be.

Keep checking back. On the bright side you've got some time and availability does pop up now and then. Good luck!

I made mine yesterday and was shocked by how much was gone. I got everything I wanted just at different times cause my early times were not available. But I saw the electrical parade was booked. I did get a wishes though am unsure of it. The only one I missed was the character spot at AK.. That one kind of shocked me they had no openings in the morning I wanted. I am going to just keep checking back and see if any can be moved around. Good luck!

But all this planning is FUN, right? And enhancing your vacation experience, no? You now get to check repeatedly in the hopes someone else drops it. And, maybe, you can even sleep in. Kids strongly prefer that over meeting characters.

:sad2:

I'm sorry amss14. If and when I am in your shoes I will be tremendously bummed out. I hope something opens up for you, and soon, so that you won't have to keep mulling over this as the days to your vacation approach. :flower3:

People with AP and a long onsite stay can actually book up to 75 days out starting at the 60 day window.
If it's really important, keep checking - last year I booked two A&E M&G because I wanted insurance in case anything happened to our first one ... But as soon as we successfully did the first one, I canceled the second one, so you could get an opening right up until the last minute.
If you want another option, book a pre-park opening breakfast at BOG and you'll be in the front of the standby line.

this is my worry when I go to book my FP+. I am going during Jersey week but not arriving until Wednesday. I'm afraid all of the people arriving over the weekend will have snatched up all of the good ones.

What a bummer. Keep trying though, you never know. Yeah, that FP in particular seems to be very tilted towards the people who have long onsite stays.

How can they book 75 days out?

I don't think that A&E is any different than any other fp+ except for it's crazy popularity. Until the craze dies down, or they get a venue at Epcot finished, I'd expect the shortage to continue. I can only imagine the mess this would be without fp+. However hard it is to get, it sure beats having to rush to the park and fight the masses in person for a coveted fp.

How's Seven Dwarfs availability? I want to book It for a morning in late October?

I don't get this part - are there FP's available in the park as well?

ETA: Sorry, I haven't had my coffee yet. I think you are saying you prefer the online fight to an in-person fight?

FP and FP+ are not the same thing. I was referring to how difficult A&E would be to obtain under the old system.

Hope that clears up your confusion.

It's not any different but people with longer stays have an advantage and this is a FP where that fact is very apparent.

Yeah I go both ways on this FP. Part of me thinks it's just better to know that you don't have one before your trip and plan otherwise. The other part of me thinks I'd rather get up early and try to get one that day at the park than hit reload on the computer for 60 days. But it would probably be a madhouse trying to get one at the park. Tough call.

I think the point is that if the paper FP system were in place for A&E you would have a stampede at rope drop, and a huge line at the FP machines for tickets that would run out in 30 minutes or less given the nature and limited capacity of the attraction. Plus you would have a massive standby line immediately. With no FPs at all you would just have the massive standby line.

I think most people would prefer knowing ahead of time if they have a FP for something than having no choice but to participate in a rush at park opening that would not guarantee anything.

It is the same thing in a way, the difference is that instead of having just that one chance at a FP on the morning of park visit, they now have the "opportunity" to keep trying before the trip and things do open up from time to time.

Either way it's stinks!
