FP for split stay

I am going to FL 08/07. Our first 4 nights will be at a Disney Springs hotel, though we will not be going to any Disney parks. On 08/11, we will check into a on property Disney hotel for 9 nights.

My question is since Im staying at a hotel that allows the 60 day FP selections, can I book my FP tomorrow for 08/11 and after, or do I need to wait until 06/11?

If I can, do I link my 08/07 - 08/11 hotel reservation on MDE?

Yes. That’s the only way the MDX system will know you have a Split Stay. It may take a day or more for your DSprings reservation to link if you recently booked it.

So to answer my own question after trying.......

I was not allowed to book the FP for the whole length of my trip. Only the one day my checkout from resort #1 and checkin to Disney resort overlapped. Im assuming this was because our park tickets are linked to the Disney portion of our trip, starting the 11th.

Oh well. We are going to DC, SW and Aquatica our first few days of vacation and will have fun there

You are the 2nd DISer who linked their DSprings reservation within a few hours of their FP window opening and the complete window did not open for Stay#2.

No one on the DSprings thread on the Orlando Board has reported any problems with their Split Stays. Thanks for reporting your Split Stay booking experience.

I linked my stay yesterday morning, around 9:00am. I did my FPs this morning at 7:00am. Not quite a full 24 hours, but I just went back in and had the same experience. I really think it has to do with my park tickets only being valid from 08/11 - 08/24, as that was the original package. We recently decided to head down to FL early to go to Discovery Cove...then with the free tix to Sea World and Aquatica included in the DC tickets, we are going even earlier!


Maybe people on the DSprings board have Disney park tickets valid for the days they are staying in DSprings.

Your Tickets are linked or else you wouldn’t have been able to book for the 11th. It’s DSprings to onsite that is causing the problem and only noted by people who didn’t have their DSprings confirmation linked to the system well before their window opened - not just a day but more than one day in advance is probably necessary.

The DSprings link did go through.. Its on my MDE.

Im staying in DSprings 08/07 - 08/11
Im staying on Disney Property 08/11 - 08/20
I have park tickets valid for 08/11 - 08/24 (not sure why they gave extra days to use them...that was a first)

The only day I could book a fast pass was 08/11. Its still more than 60 days away, but it was the only day at my DSprings hotel that I have a Disney park ticket for (since Ill be checking into Disney then)

If we ever go to FL early again and have this scenario, Ill try linking my DSprings earlier and see what happens. Bummer I didnt know sooner as Ive had it booked since Memorial Day
