FP+ for Illuminations

We are going to Epcot on NYE during the day. Getting there abiut 45 minutes prior to RD and leaving around lunch. We are a family of four and my kids are 18 and 22. I plan on RD Soarin, TT single rider, SE amd Ellens? I would see FEA but its not high on any of our lists. Then we are heading back to SSR and have an 8 pm ressie at Yachtsman. After Yachtsman, we are walking back to Epcot for NYE night.

With what I mention above, do you all think it would be a good use of a Tier 1 FP if I tried to book the Illuminations Viewing Spot for NYE for my FP?

Replied to your post in the FP thread, but we used it on July 4th and I could not have been happier with that decision. Would definitely recommend on NYE.

We had a FP for Illuminations back in June and got in line 70 minutes before the show and were 3rd in line. They have the entire FP section closed off by ropes and CM who will then scan your magic bands once they open the ropes. As far as the questio about can my 4th FP be for Illuminations? It is possible that you can get one but based of what I have seen and heard the odds are real slim. The only way I can see you getting a 4th FP is if all three of your FP's have been used by noon.
