FP+ for Festival of Fantasy

Not sure of current status.

But not worth it. Viewing area is at the end of the route in the blazing sun. Find a shaded spot in Frontierland closer to where it starts.

How early do you need to arrive? And what are the best spots to try and snag?

I think you can get spots a half hour before parade time. But if it's hot out and you want shade, you'll need to be there sooner. I got there earlier than that, but was very particular about where I wanted to photograph the parade from. I was on a porch in front of the shops, in a place where the rope would come right in front of us, leaving no room for someone to squeeze in last minute. Here's the view:

I currently have a FP for this for next month. If Disney is no longer offering the FP location for this, will they change my FP? I like it just because you don't have to get there early to stake out a spot and you don't have to deal with people crowding around you. Also, we are in MK several days and already have FPs for everything else that needs one.

I also have FP for FoF in July. I called and the CM said they haven't heard anything about eliminating FP for the parade, only for Wishes. So I think we're good.

Curious though -- doesn't the FoF FP mean you don't need to stake out your territory as early? If it means I can arrive 5-10 mins early instead of 45 minutes early, that sounds pretty good to me.

@SeanTomorrow - Thanks for the information. We have used FP for this parade before, and yes, you can arrive 10 -15 minutes ahead of time. I think we arrived a little earlier than that and had a front row spot. There was plenty of room in the FP area and there was no shoving or jockeying for position like I think there would be if you were in another location. I really liked the experience. Also, the kids were able to see everything up close. No worries about anyone being in their way.

This looks like it's pretty close to where we stood last Tuesday - a nice shaded spot in front of a stack of crates that others were sitting/standing on, just across the breezeway from Country Bears. We got there about 15 minutes before the parade started.
