Hi lovely people,

I made a FP for the parade. Will this make my life easier? OR will I regret this and wish I hadn't wasted a FP? I mean do the FP people get a special view? Chairs? Lemon water while you wait? What makes this a FP experience?

Thanks!:earboy2:

I think it's a waste. You get a specific viewing area, but it's generally more crowded than watching from frontierland or liberty square. No chairs, no lemon water.

You will get to stand front and center, in the square by the front entrance of MK, facing Main Street USA. No chairs or lemon water.

Blazing sun.
No shade at all.

Robo, where are great parade viewing locations? Do you have a map that shows this too? We will be going end of Aug and will be in MK on Aug. 31. Any help will be appreciated!

A look at the MK Parade Route-

Disney's (MS) Electrical Parade starts near the Firehouse and exits near Splash Mtn.

The 3 O'Clock Parade (Festival of Fantasy) and both the MVMCP and MNSSHP parades start near Spalsh Mtn. and exit near the Firehouse.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents, or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears. (But, from those locations you won't be able to see the spectacular, not-to-be-missed show that is actually projected on the front of the Castle, "Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the nightly fireworks.)

Whether this is worth it, is totally going to depend on what's important to you.
I know I'm in the minority, but I love this as a FP. You will still need to get there a little early to do this, but we've had the most magical parade experiences with this viewing location. Every time we've done it, we've sat at the very front of the FP area facing the castle. You get a great view of the parade coming down main street and rounding the corner. We love the parades, and not feeling like you're having to stand guard on either side of our kids to keep them from getting squished out is also a huge bonus!

i will agree, no shade....when we go it's usually in the cooler months, but totally worth it IMHO

Since you made a fastpass your going within the next 60 days so it's going to be hot and miserable in that spot with no shade. It's also in the front of the park far from rides and a crowd to get past to get there. Great for first coming in or leaving after but not the greatest to leave rides in the back, get up there to watch and then get back to the rides in the back. It also takes 20 minutes for the parade to even get there since it runs back to front.

I think getting a spot 30 minutes earlier, taking a rest and being near the back where it starts will actually save you time and energy than this fastpass+ spot. Then you can take that fastpass and get a ride that has more than a 30 minutes wait and save time there as well.

We both don't love the heat and so I switched our parade fast pass for SM. Great advice thank you!

If they do 2 evening parades, will the 2nd one be the reverse of the 1st (starting and ending locations)?
