Is it worth it? Does it count against the 3 FP?
How about the other parades? Is it worth getting FP?

It would count as one of your 3 FP.

We were just there last week and watched from right next to the FP viewing area. If you want to come 15-20 minutes before the parade and get very good front row seats.... I'd say go for it.

I saw the FP area and started talking to the cast member around 1.5 hours before parade time. So.... they told me that at the end of the FP area (on the left side as you face the castle), they put up a rope from the FP area across the street to where the parade turns and goes through frontierland. I situated myself in the middle of the street where she pointed me and once the rope was put up....viola, front row seats! They were great. But, I was there holding the spot for quite awhile before the parade. It was worth it, I thought.

But, if you don't want to wait and just show up in time.... the FP seats were the only front rows left.... unless you ventured down into Frontierland to see the end of the parade.?

If you don't want to use a FP to see the electric parade, you can watch it from the beach at the Wilderness Lodge. There is hardly anyone on the beach. You get to see the electric parade move through the water and hear the music plan as day. The electric parade pass by the resorts on Bay Lake.

You're confusing the Main Street Electrical Parade with the Electrical Water Pageant. You can't see the MSEP from outside MK.

To me, it depends on what kind of person you are.. If you're a rides person, go use the FP+ on rides.. If you don't mind the shows and parades, you could use it on the parade. What I'd do (and what I did in January) was wait an hour or so before MSEP started sitting on a curb in the hub right in front of the castle. . got myself a homemade ice cream sandwich from Main Street Bakery. . and just waited. Front row seat for the parade, perfect viewing for Celebrate the Magic!, and also amazing viewing for Wishes! They came one right after the other that night, so it worked out perfectly.

Good luck :)

I'm planning on using FP+ for both Wishes and Main Street Electrical Parade because our arrival time is pretty late, and I don't want to stake out a piece of curb an hour in advance. Plus both those things are a priority for this trip - my daughter hasn't seen either of them before.
