Ok so I can make my FP+ selections on Wednesday:yay:

Do I really need to get up at 5am to secure a FP for A&E?? Its our DDs( x4) No1 priority but I don't want to get up if its unnecessary!!Any experience with this would be helpful. TIA x

I have done exactly that this morning, set my alarm clock for 4:50am and managed to get the coveted A&E FP+ Daft I know but after spending a hideous amount of money on this holiday I thought one day with an 4:50am wake up call was needed.I went back to bed for an hour got the kids off to school, got back on the computer for 8am and managed to get bubble seats for our flight :-)
Off now for a double expresso :-)

The past week I have been learning about FP+ since we can use them for our trip next month.
I can only do 30 days in advance with our AP's. I found there was plenty of availability doing it between 8-9am. I tried over the weekend for Mine ride, I didn't get to log in til lunch time and I had missed early slots, still late afternoon and evening available.

Personally I would not get up early just to do FP+, especially if you can do it at 60 days out.

On the whole I found FP+ system OK, just a few things I didn't understand, why I had to make 3 selections then cancel 2 of them when I only want 1 FP, a lot of messing. Plus only allowing us 7 days of FP's with AP, a little annoying when you spend a small fortune on AP's.

For Anna and Elsa and for four of you it may just be better to get up, make that one and then you can do the rest later. There are still folk posting that they aren't getting them. If it's important to you, better to know that you have them secured.

The rest of them there is no rush. I just changed one of mine for TSM for this weekend. I did that on Thursday and had a choice of times.

I did exactly the same. Except, for me, it was a Sunday, luckily. They were all gone when I checked later in the day. But as they've extended their hours now it may not be so bad.

I did this last week, got up at 5am the main reason to make sure we could get A&E for DD , I got a 10.15am FP, tried again at 9am for the same day we needed and it was 5pm onwards FP+ ... But I have heard other people still get the time and dated they wanted later in the day..

I am also interested in this. I am guessing it works like ADR's your more likely to get it if you book it in day 10??

Not sure about 10 days. That's what I was expecting but we arrive on the 15th August but it allowed us to book up to 29th !!!

I haven't had a good look at the FP+ yet so don't know much about it. Can you tell me what is the earliest time I can book...not how many days out but the actual time. I see you got up at 4.50am and was wondering why this early? As I said I don't know much about the system so any help will be really appreciated :thumbsup2

The only reason I got up at daft o'clock was to get Anna&Elsa Fastpass + meet and greet. The FP+ goes live at midnight US time so that's 5am UK time. If your not bothered about A&E then I don't think you have any need to do this.

You can book from midnight Eastern Time so 5 am here :)
Get the coffee pot read the night before

Even for A&E I have had no problem finding availability 30 days out at 9am unless you want a morning slot, still plenty of times in afternoon.

Many conflicting reports! If it's important to you then why take the risk for the sake of a few hours? If it's not a priority then no need to get up IMO.

I'm planning on waking up early on Thursday to do ours, but only to secure Anna and Elsa, and then I'll be off back to sleep.

I umm-ed and ahh-ed a lot, but decided I didn't want to risk it, and that I'd be disappointed if I didn't get it... but anything else can wait :)

Thanks everyone, i don't have a problem getting up if thats what needs to be done.I just wanted to make sure it was necessary! Would be gutted if I missed the elusive A&E FP+.
It sounds like the general consensus is better safe than sorry. No going back to bed for me though *** have to be up at 6.30! I'll take the advice of OP and take the double expresso route!:)

I can also make my FP selections on Wednesday!! So excited lol.
I'll be setting my alarm to get the A&E fast pass too..then I'll try and get some sleep before getting up for work

Definitely need to get a fast pass for A&E my granddaughter would never forgive me if she didn't get to see them.

I'll have the coffee pot ready and the alarm clock just in case I fall asleep lol, as I said to ChipnDaleRule my granddaughter would never forgive me if she didn't get to see them :)
