FP for AK keeps getting deleted?

Ugh so annoyed-

My parents asked at the last minute to move our trip up two weeks so they could join for part. Of course our new date is now 57ish days away so I jumped on to make fastpasses as soon as I could get our new hotel reservation linked. All tickets and hotel are still linked.

Every day (4/5) but AK has had no issues. Our AK day (in the middle of our trip) the FP+ keeps falling off shortly after booking. It just disappears! And I know its not the app glitching because its gone from the website and it will let me rebook thay same tier 1. We lost our FOP for my husband, lost our NRJ (now only afternoon shows available and my parents leave at 12 and wanted ro do this with us), and lost our everest and safari (same only after 12 problem for safari). Of course I can refresh and rebook but I’ve done that THREE TIMES and I cant get some of them back. What can I even do?
 
Call the web site tech support number in the morning and explain the situation, including what you've done and what you've lost due to this glitch. They should hopefully be able to set things straight for you. 407-939-4357
 
Thank you! Thankfully no one in my party would complain to miss a specific ride, but it sure is frustrating to sit there for over an hour booking and rebooking FP for one day before just giving up.
 
Is there a chance that FOP will be closed that day for planned maintenance? That could be why it keeps getting deleted?

We were able to get what I feel is a super fair resolution. The IT guy said he really didn’t have the authority to touch or fix FOP or NRJ due to the popularity of those rides. I get that, if there isn’t anything there what can they do? He said it appeared on his end as if I hadn't booked ANY FP for AK all day! Idk how because they’d sit there for 10+ minutes in our list before vanishing but so weird. I hope that doesn’t happen again.

However- they gave each eligible person 2 anytime FP for Dinosaur and Everest that won’t count against the 3 total so we can now book 2 additional FP. I ended up getting NRJ for a time that we can make work I think. Just crossing my fingers it won’t disappear. I’ll assume FOP is a no go and if day of or at a random refresh I can switch my husband to FOP great, if not it is still going to be a fun day!
 
Honestly, if this is your first time, I would forego the FP anyway. FOP has an *incredible* queue, and you'll totally miss it if you ride via FP. I'd either plan to rope-drop FOP, or ride last thing at night (or both, since Pandora is incredible at night anyway).
 
I'm glad you got something for it at least. I wonder if, by moving your existing trip, you exposed a bug in the new automatic FP cancelation algorithm. (where they cancel FPs when you cancel a hotel booking.) Who knows with this MyMagic+ software and the constant changes. It wasn't even ready for launch when they rolled it out in the first place - don't ask me how I know this. I'm honestly surprised there aren't a lot more of these issues (or maybe there are and I just don't follow them, who knows)

Can you tell us more about the change you made? What were the original dates and resort(s) and the new dates and resorts? I too am wondering if this is related to the FP cancellation changes. It sounds like there wasn’t an overlap in your dates, so that is very puzzling.

Is there a chance you have more than one account with Disney? If you’ve ever had an old ESPN account or an account for Disney contests, all accounts have to be Merged into your MDX account.

Did the IT person check for multiple accounts?
 
For FOP, try getting in line just before the park closes and you shouldn't have too bad of a wait.

We were going to the Dolphin from May 9-14. We moved to the Swan April 26-May 1. I wonder if they thought I was trying to game the system and move up my FP date? Both stays were linked for awhile before Dolphin fell off. (We are not trying to game it btw- all Fp are made for days we have the Swan reservation and we really did move our trip).

Could be. The FOP FP - probably all from that particular day - may have been linked to the dolphin booking number. Because you booked the swan under a separate booking number and cancelled the dolphin booking, that cancelation could trigger the new process that removes FPs linked to cancelled reservations. As to why some were linked to one vs. the other, that's hard to say without more information than we're privy too. Either way, I suspect that's what caused the issue. Sorry that happened to you.

Hopefully (after this happens to enough people) they'll fix the code to check if you still have an active reservation anywhere before deleting FPs.

That currently isn’t happening for any guests who have canceled resort stays.

For the CM to see no record of FoP FPs ever being booked, the OP’s info is being sent elsewhere - a second account or incorrectly linked MDX info especially if her DH has his own MDX.
