So I managed to get a fp+ ticket to meet Anna and Elsa for my daughter and when I tried copying this to the rest of us (Me, DH and son), would not allow it anymore. I was able to get one but at 7pm while my daughter is at 5pm.

How does this work? Is it possible for me to accompany my daughter as I don't want her to go alone.

Help!

If your daughter is 14+ she can technically go in alone (and it's probably safe enough). Under that and you need to be with her. If you don't have a FP+ then you won't be allowed in, unfortunately. I would instead try to change either your or your daughter's FP+ to a time that overlaps. Just keep trying throughout the day and you might get lucky. I always try early in the morning and late at night. Mind that the times don't have to be identical. Just have a slight overlap. For example, 4:00-5:00 and 4:40-5:40 will allow you both to enter starting at 4:40.

Best of luck!

EDIT: Made the times actually overlap, because I am smart.

Thanks! She is only 10. I have to double check the time. Looks like Disney is down and can't even log in.

I thought the age limit was 7 to go in alone?

Probably just a typo, but the times you listed don't overlap. ;)

Actually, if she is over 7 she can enter a line alone so she would be fine to go alone (if you would let her and if she isn't too scared). The age of 14 is to enter a park alone. You can ask, but the rule is that everyone entering the FP line has to have a valid FP.

You can also keep trying to get a FP that overlaps her time. I've been checking a couple of times a day to try to move my 7DMT times on a MNSSHP night and have been sucessful in at least getting overlapping times for my family. Keep checking up to the day before and even early the day of...people book extra because they don't finalize their plans until later and then cancel to book FP at the park they are really going to be at.

Good Luck!

Oops! Yes, that was a typo. That's what I get for writing while I'm scarfing down breakfast. :rotfl:

And oops on thinking it was 14. I guess I equated getting in line with getting into the park.

Thanks!

Her FP is between 5:40-6:40 while I am at 7pm. While we are meeting Elsa and Anna, hubby and ds will try to do some other rides.

Question, do you know how long it takes (in average) once you get in?

In my experience 10-15 minutes from entering the line to exiting the meet and greet.

You're actually pretty close to a time overlap. Keep trying to bump hers down or yours up. Also, don't be afraid to use your hubby and son as placeholders for slots that may overlap better. For instance, you are refreshing and see a time slot for 10AM. Nail it down with your hubby's FP selections and then go back in to see if you can get an overlap. If not, you can always cancel out. If so, move things over to you and your daughter. You can do it!

Thanks! Been trying everyday to see if there will be spots opening earlier.

Do you know if the line up at park opening is long? We're thinking if we hit A&E first thing in the morning, perhaps we can use our FP+ on other attractions.

Right now since our FPs are late afternoon, it will likely be our back up should the line be too long in the morning for us as soon as park opens.

Someone else might have better info, but from what I can tell the lines are long pretty much all day. I heard something about an experimental ticketing system so people don't end up in 4-hour-long lines (essentially a placeholder in line for you) but I don't know much about it. That could be a rumor.

From what I HAVE read, you might have better luck in lines around lunchtime, with worse crowds in the morning (I hear they get rushed at rope drop) than you might expect. Don't hope to be in standby for less than an hour and a half, and prepare for up to 4 hours. If you go too late in the day you could get cut off, as they try to ensure that anyone already in line won't get turned away. This means that if A&E leave at 9PM and the line is already 3 hours long, CMs will turn you away starting at 6PM. They'll tell you that the line is closed or that A&E cannot see any more people today, thus allowing those already in line to see the princesses and preventing someone from waiting for hours and then NOT getting to see them because the park is closed. Keep in mind that princesses need breaks too! So even if you don't think the line looks THAT long, the CMs have to factor in breaks when estimating line times.

In short, if you can get those FPs, stick with them. It'll be risky otherwise. If A&E are not a big deal and the risk is OK for your DD, check line times periodically and don't wait TOO long or the line CAN close before the park itself does. 1.5 hr standby time is considered "good," so if you see that or less hop in ASAP.

Thank you. I managed to change fp for my dd and I from 12:50 and 1:40. Was able to snag fp for my dh and ds should my ds wish to meet A & E as I know he loves Frozen too. But theirs are at 5:40 and 6:40 but will keep trying to see if I can get earlier time slots for them. If they decided, they don't want to then I can easily cancel theirs. Just want to make sure I have fp in case.

Yay! I'm so glad things are starting to shape up for you! :thumbsup2 I'm guessing the 12:50-1:40 times are the overlap?

AHHH. I'm almost as excited as if I got the FP+s myself! :rotfl: Congrats!

Yes, we are overlapping by 10 mins as mine starts at 1:40 and hers end at 1:50.

People here says you can enter 10 minutes before your FP+ time so we will try if we can do at 1:30. Will be trying to see if I can move my dh and ds to an earlier timeslot. For now, I am just happy to be able to get ones for ds and dh in case ds wants to have a pic with A&E. He is 8 years old but love the movie and every time on of our door's locked, he will knock and starts singing: Do you want to build a snowman?

After stalking the fp+ website for the days, today I finally managed to book 4 fp+ to see A&E with 4 time slots overlapping: 12:50,1,1:10 and 1:40.

I am hoping they will allow us to enter at 1:30 given that my fp+ time starts at 1:40 and my daughter's fp+ is ending at 1:50.

I know you've fixed this since then, but you can normally go in 5 min before your FP time and up to 15 min after. So, in the above scenario, had you both gone exactly at 6:55PM, it should have worked. Even if the timing was off by a few seconds and one or the other FP didn't light green, I would think that the CM would allow this.

Ok, thanks for letting me know!
