When to buy tickets?

We will be staying at BWV on rented points.
Because we are visiting the Workd a couple times this year we will buy AP's.

Will it automatically link to my MDE account OR do I have to purchase in advance (like a month?.) to be sure I get vouchers to link. ??

You have to have tickets, or a voucher for AP, listed on you MDE account...otherwise, there will be nothing to show in order to make FP+ choices! I wish I had a bit of extra time but have to buy an AP and a 5 day hopper before March 15th.
Because the FP+ system is tied to your park passes, there had to be something attached in MDE.

Is march 1 your 30 day or 60 day mark?

As an AP holder you can book at 30 days, but as a resort guest you can book at 60 days. As previously mentioned, either way you need to have the tickets purchased an linked to your MDE account to be able to make FP+ reservations on your day.

I'm sure I'm making this as clear as mud.

March 1st is my 60 day Mark because we are staying on site.

What I'm trying to ask is will the AP's I purchase get automatically linked to my MDE account when I purchase through Disney OR should I plan on buying them say a month early to allow for time for the vouchers to get mailed to me to then link to my account myself in order to be ready for my FP+ start date???

I just want to be sure that I'm fully ready for my FP+ 60 day Mark.

No vouchers are mailed. If you buy an AP by phone or online they will give you a number to link to your MDX immediately. Then you activate the AP when you arrive at WDW, before you use it to enter a park. the "clock" starts to run on an annual pass on the day you activate it, not the day you purchase it.

If you want to make FP reservations on March 1 you should purchase the APs and link them with the temporary number(s) by February 28.

You should be able to use the order # from Disney in MDE on the web to book FP+. Helped a coworker with this while booking a last minute trip. Didn't need to wait for the mail!
