The countdown to my FP is coming up. Need some suggestions of the order of booking at MK. We have 2 full days with FP plans as such:

Day 1 (Monday - mostly Fantasyland)
DS - 7DMT, Enchanted Tales, Haunted House
DD - Little Mermaid, Enchanted Tales, It's a Small World

Day 2 (Thurs - Frontier/Adv. land - MNSSHP night so maybe less busy)
DS - Splash Mountain, Big Thunder, Peter Pan
DD - A&E, Big Thunder, Peter Pan

For the most part, DH FP would be the same as DS and mine would be the same as DD (aside from Haunted House/It's a Small World)

  1. Because of A&E, do I start with Day 2 FP selection? Or do I start with Day1 since our morning starts at Fantasyland, and Mondays are busier at MK.
  2. Since not all FP are the same, do I start with DS/DH and then do mine and DD, or do I select, say the FP for DS for all of us, and then go back and change DD and myself?

From what I saw during my FP day..........you really don't need FP for anything other than A&E, 7DMT, Splash & Space Mountains, Big Thunder Mountain, and Fest of Fantasy parade. Peter Pan and Belle..........are good alternatives
Look at this link to get a feel for the priority........great resource

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3143281

Go down....2 or 3 posts and review the list.

NOTE: that getting A&E has proven to be tough...........best bet is look at your latest date first for A&E and go from there.

Good Luck!!!

Doug :goofy:

I think you are over analyzing this just a bit. Try to get FPs for everyone as a group for A&E and 7DMT before anything else, starting with the last days of your trip. Then modify individually each FP for different people, being careful not to mess too much (if at all) with those two. Everything else should be wide open.

Touringplans.com has some good FP+ priorities listings as do many threads on this board. Many of your selections are for things that generally do not see long lines- it's a small world, little mermaid, haunted mansion. Don't know your preferences, but some things you might consider in their place if interested: buzz light year. Festival of fantasy parade or Main Street electrical parade (if you don't have someone willing to stake a spot), surprised you have DD not doing 7DMT so you may reconsider that. Splash is a great ride and if DD meets height requirement you may select that for her as well. The drop is just a few seconds of a great 20 minute ride.

A&E is going to be very difficult to get- even for a party of 2 on your 2nd day. We did not get FP's for our group until day 6 of our trip. Not wanting to discourage you but want to help with expectations. Yes- do day 2 first. If you don't get it, just keep trying by going in and attempting to change an experience to A&E for you and DD. If you can't get A&E, they are in the festival of fantasy parade (used to only see them on the Pecos Bill side of the street, so research that if it's important to you). DD could at least see them in the parade if you don't get FP's and don't want to do standby.

Good luck!!!

They stand on a turntable, so both sides of the route have an equal chance to see or miss them.

Yeah, I know how hard it is for A&E, but gonna try. If I don't get it, then I won't even mention it to DD. And as mentioned, there is the parade as an option too. (Coming in Oct so miss the HS Frozen events)

We also have two other days where we'll be at MK (arrival day for a few hours, and from 4-7pm on our MNSSHP). So on those days, I also have Peter Pan, Buzz Light booked, as well as 7DMT for both.

My DD is a bit new to rides, and a bit timid, so I have her starting out on Barnstormer, but not 7DMT on Day 1 (she'll go to Little Mermaid show at the same time...if it works). And I think the big drop of Splash at the end will freak her out.

If you want A&E, you have to get on at midnight (sometimes that opens as late as 1AM, but should open at same time as everyone; just keep checking every minute or two). Go to last MK day first. After A&E, look for 7DMT.

Then, if you decide, look at reserve seating for fireworks, etc.

Honestly, everything else can wait till over the next few days when you can take your time and not be rushed.

I don't know if this works, and I've not seen it mentioned on the boards anywhere, but there appears to be a point in the process for booking ADRs where the reservation is taken out of the system and if ultimately not booked, restored in an hour. I don't know if that works for FPs, but if you don't find what you want at first, I'd wait till exactly an hour after the window opens, and spend another 30 minutes re-looking for A&E.

You're going to have to be more flexible than you're being for A&E (and 7DMT if you have a particular time of day in mind). PP is right, try for A&E on your last MK day of the trip. People are having tremendous difficulty finding A&E using 6-+5 or 60+6. So you finding FP+ reservations for the second day of your trip (especially during party season when there are multiple days a week when MK closes early) is virtually an impossibility.

You don't really need FP+ reservations for IASW or Haunted Mansion. Maybe use one for the whole family to ride Jungle Cruise together?

That's why I am trying for the MK day 2 on Thursday for A&E (second last day of our trip)...and would take it any day if I found it. Will be on at midnight and try.

Thanks for the suggestion of Jungle Cruise. At moment the plan is to ride it before heading over to Big Thunder, so already at 3 FP.

But I know this may all change depending on the FP that I can actually get.
