FP availability on headliners.. how far back?

Before the change for 4th FP (that broke FP availability tools at the DIBB and Touring Plans) I spend a couple of weeks sort of trying to get a feel for what NBFP availability would be by checking the Touring Plans FP availability around 7am each day. I figured that way I would get an idea of what would be available should I have done a NBFP.

Something I noticed was that often availability was limited (to early morning or late night), or gone, for some of the headliners that I thought would have more day of availability. Talking about Everest, Kali River Rapids, Space, BTMR, Splash, Star Tours, ToT, RNRC. For some reason what I expected was those would have lots of availability first thing in the morning, but quickly lose it as the day of crowd arrived. (and yes, I know there are many factors.. just trying to get a general feel).

Got me thinking, about how far back are these generally open before the 'within day' availability starts dwindling down?

I used to think people generally made their FP reservations at the 60 day mark, 30 day mark, or the day of (for those buying tickets at the park), but I'm starting to think there's a bunch of people that don't do it at the 60/30 day marks and instead wait?
