FP at EPCOT question

Right now I have only two FP+ for EPCOT, one being FEA. If I use those and check for another FP in the park and Soarin is available am I able to reserve it even though I did not use three FP for the day? Or do I have to use 1 from tier 1 and 2 from tier 2 before I can get another from tier 1?

You have to use one tier 1 and two tier 2 before you could book a second tier 1.

You either have to actually use all three or have the times expire. If your third FP+ is for 1-2 PM, for instance, you could get a fourth one as soon as you've tapped for that FP+, or after 2 PM, if you didn't use it.

Book another FP early in the day, you don't have to use it.

I am pretty sure this has recently been changed. My wife and I were at EPCOT in March and only booked a Soaring FP. As soon as we rode Soaring I immediately got a Test Track FP for later in the day. We never bothered to book any tier 2 on that day.

Unless you have one of those two booked before 10am, book something else for 9am, and just let it expire.
