FP at AK?

Plans have changed and we're adding a day. Can't add the day to my ticket until first day of use at guest relations I'm told. The extra day will be our AK day. I won't be able to book our AK FP til the day before we plan to visit. Will I have trouble getting EE or safari the day before or will a rope drop be necessary?

Maybe. In your favor, AK is the easiest park to get FPs for headliners on late notice.

Ditto on the maybe. You don't mention when you will be traveling. Is it over any of the holidays?

We were at Disney 3 weeks ago. We were able to get everything we wanted at AK (Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, and the Safari) about 12 hours in advance. I think you have a decent chance of getting lucky like we did.

Maybe is correct. It will depend on when you are going as well.

We found that we could ride EE 2-3 times with hardly any wait at RD.

I've not had any trouble with last minute FP at AK. The times may not be ideal, but you can usually get something pretty close to what you want.

We never use our FPs on AK if we are park hopping and still always have gotten on everything we wanted.... I think you'll be fine waiting until you use your first day then booking FPs.

We have been at peak times and find that if we are there at least 15 mins before RD, we can get on EE first and run back for safari for no issue, no FP+. Long run, but doable.
