FP and room occupancy

I don't know why I thought I could do this but had I known I couldn't given the time of year I would have made 2 reservations.

I have my max room occupancy in 1 bed during the first part of my trip my DS and GS leave the 5th day and DD comes in on the 7th day. So I have to check out DS and GS as I totally get and recheck in DD upon her arrival. So I can't book any FP for her until her arrival, the weekend before Christmas.

She has an AP so I can add her at 30 days but given that it's the holiday I am just wondering if anyone has had success matching FP's or any tips.

I would really appreciate any advice for this or future trips, I really feel like I dropped the ball on this one. My grandson just turned 3 so this occupancy thing is new to me.

Why can't you just make the FPs for DS and give his MB to DD upon checkout/arrival?
Have DD use her AP to get into the parks - no MB. Then use the MB inside the parks.
I would have DD make FP off her AP as a backup.

This will only work if DS and GS have APs. If they have just regular tickets and use up all the days before they leave it will not work.

Stop worrying and go read the sticky in the Theme Park forum. If I understand correctly, you'll be able to reserve FP+ for everyone in you're MDE account whether they're on your room reservation or not.

As long as DS renews his that is a great plan his will expire before she gets there. I have never done that I'm guessing it isn't a problem. I would have to activate his renewal while he is there but that isn't a problem. I will have just purchased grandson's I guess she could use his?

I have searched and read Robo's thread I just didn't know if posting here there might be some other option.

I really appreciate that I was so focused on not being able to add her.

I think you will be ok. I have not tried this myself, but supposedly if an onsite guest links an offsite guest (incl. ticket info) to their MDE account, the onsite guest can book FP+ for the offsite guest at 60 days.

Really? I have not heard this we plan together so I need to check this out the CM from DVC said she would have to book the day she checked in but she does have the AP

It seems reasonable that it could work this way. If it doesn't, you might not have too much difficulty adding one person to all your FP+ reservations at 30 days. I have read that it is easier grabbing fast passes for one person than a family. Good luck, I hope you can book for everyone at 60 days. You could try calling the MDE support line. Maybe they can confirm that you can book for everyone at 60 days to ease your mind.

Thank you I feel a lot better now, yes that's how it works they said anyone linked in your mde will show up for FP at 60 days. I appreciate your response. The cm just threw me off when she said I would have to wait until I checked her in I knew it didn't sound right but things change so much ya never know.
