FP and Christmas Party

I am trying to make fastpass selections from 4-7 when we have the Christmas party booked. I am finding I can not find 1 more for us - everything stops at 4:00. Are all the fastpasses gone after 4:00 - or is something else going on ?? Thanks

I booked mine yesterday and it was tricky. Alot of the popular rides weren't available (like Peter Pan, BTMRR and Space Mountain).

I did find that if I switched them up with other attractions I was able to get a few and the times started at 3:30p which was fine for me since the first one went from 3:30p to 4:30p and then the next started at 4:40p and the last one at 5:45pm.

So maybe try other attractions and then you'll be able to book after 4pm? I felt like it was a bit difficult for me and I was just trying for one - not for a family.

Move the third FP to the latest time available. When I was scheduling mine it looked like there was nothing available during the party because the times had some overlap (even 5 minutes will not display as an option).

When I moved the third one to 5:30-6:30 instead of 5:15) I was able to get two more for 3:30-4:30 & 4:30-5:30. Before that it only looked like I could get a FP for one ride during the party hours.

The last option for FP is 5:30-6:30. You have to get one of those in place first. Then work on getting the other two, ideally one 3:30-4:30 and 4:30-5:30. But you could have minor variations. The second one has to end no later then 5:30 in order to book the 3rd.

Maybe they were all snagged by the people who plan on only attending the party for the day so they won't be allowed in until 4?

I am having no luck. My last FP is from 5-6:00 - that is my latest one. I cannot find 1 other attraction later than 4. It just seemed odd to me that was the latest time. I will keep checking. Thanks

If you are sure you will be able to make it to the attraction by 4:30, try changing the first one to 3:30-4:30, then next 4:30-5:30. This should open up 5:30-6:30. I don't think disney is allowing FP+ after 6:30, and therefore you don't have a full hour to book the last FP+.

Thanks for posting this because I was just about to ask a similar question. It was strange - I only have party tickets but the original times it gave me were all well before 4:00. Was able to get Peter Pan for 4:35-5:35 but that was the only slot available. Sounds like that messed me up for getting one after but I didn't want to give that one up since we didn't get to ride it during the Halloween party.

Question that I know has been answered on this board but can't remember. Is there a "grace period"? I was able to get Buzz for 3:35-4:35 but we are coming straight from my son's school. We will be cutting it very close. How late can we be and still have a shot at riding?

There is a "grace period" of 5 minutes prior and up to 15 minutes after the return window has expired, but remember that it's at the discretion of the CM and they have the authority to overrule the grace period for any number of reasons. When I was there in September, we were allowed to enter the FP+ queue 5 minutes early.

Thanks for the suggestions - but - here is my problem.
the first FP is for 3-4 (which we cant make) the 2nd is from 4-5 and the 3rd is from 5-6. The problem is there is not another selection past 3:00 or so - if I delete everything and start over might one come up for 3:30-4:30 and more will come up later?? Kind of hate to loose the 2 I have but.....there are so many selections for earlier in the day that is the confusing part for me.

Couple things- you might make that first FP. Many times the scanners start allowing guests at 3:45ish and the FP should include a grace period of 15 minutes, allowing it to work until 4:15.

Try using this site: http://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/fastpass-availability
Just click on Magic Kingdom and then the date you are looking for (calendar in the upper right corner). This will list all the FP options there were as of a certain time- probably super early this morning. Also, note that this is just showing availability for 1 FP. There could be more at the time options, but this is just reporting that there was at least 1 for the time period when it was checked at x:xxam.

This way you can see if there is even a possibility that what you want is out there before you give up the ones you have. But again, these might not be there now, or it may only be 1 available.

Another thing to keep in mind is that it is not surprising that there isn't much after 3pm while there is still a good amount of availability before 3. There are regular day guests who are booking 9-6:30. Then you have party ticketed guests trying to book 3ish to 6:30. That overlap means there is higher demand for those times and therefore, less available.

I had the same issue for our party. I just can't find anything after 6 for my latest. So we will only end up using two I guess.
