Fox rent-a-car

We have booked a car with Fox for our two weeks in California. Does anyone have any good or bad experiences with them that we should know about? I'd never heard of them before and perhaps that is a bad thing.

We rented from this organization and it was a nightmare! We waited in line for almost 2 hrs and then were given a dirty car. After waiting over an hour, they told about 10 people in front of us that they only had minivans left, put them in the Fox van and drove them somewhere else!!! We did not receive a minivan. I don't like dealing with people who are dishonest.

Avoid them at all costs.

I posted a warning about them as soon as I returned.

I know that this was posted ages ago but I just had to say that...Fox Rental Car Company is the worst rental car place we have ever dealt with. Yes, they do have great rates but at a huge cost to their customers! When my family and I arrived at Fox to pick up our two minivans (there was 11 of us) which we had called and confirmed our reservations , there were no minivans in sight. We found out, only after waiting in line to speak to a fox employee for 2 and a half hours, that they had overbooked which was a common problem with their reservations department. Then they suggested we split up and half of our family go through one company and the other half through another. When we told them that this was not an option they FINALLY took us to an acceptable, yet very expensive rental car place and told us that they would pay the difference for the minivans which totaled about $400. Needless to say, it has now been a month and we still have received no compensation from Fox. My husband tried contacting them and they will not return our calls. These people are crooks! My advice: pay the extra money and get what you pay for.
