We went this year for the Fourth and had great time.
As long as you keep hydrated, slather on the sunscreen and bear in mind that it will be a bit crowded you should have fun.
We like to sleep in, so many of our park days we didn't arrive until after lunch time. We swam in the mornings, rode the mouseboats or just otherwise lazed around.
Had no problems seeing and doing all that we wanted.
We did go earlier on our Magic Kingdom days, so that we could get Fantasyland done.
I debated for a long time over which park to watch the 4th fireworks, months and months of agonizing.
In the end, my group decided to avoid the crowds at MK and head to Epcot instead. Turned out to be a great decision!!! Epcot really absorbed the crowds well and the spot we picked for the fireworks was not crowded at all. My entire group was so impressed by the display, declaring it the best they had ever seen.
Go. Have fun. Drink water.....wear a hat.
Did I mention have fun???
You can borrow points, so make that call.
We are in a state of borrowing because we take the entire family, six extra people!
