Fourth of July

Help!!!!!! Looking for any ideas and suggestions of must see activities for the 4th of July. I will be camping at Fort Wilderness with my 3 kids and DH. I have PAP so park hopping is an option. Only suggestion I have is a Wishes Cruise at night but I am not sure if I will get reservations. Any suggestions welcomed

Sorry, but seriously, avoid the MK.

If there is a way you can see the MK fireworks without being in the MK, great,but we've been there on the 4th and would never do it again. I've heard other parks aren't nearly as crowded,so maybe try Epcot for the fireworks?

I enjoy MK on the July 4th the fireworks was awesome. If like crowds I like I do then you will have a ball. I found MGM Studios to be a half day park.

Really we always avoid the MK! We do the fireworks at pleasure Island at Midnight on the 3rd and then we will do the special fireworks at MGM. They only hold them on special nights now. It is seperate from Fantasmic and they go off over the theater (hat). You can check at the front desk of your hotel for special events and enjoy your vacation....

We knew better than to attempt a MK visit in 2000. During our bus trip from ASMo to Epcot, I heard an announcement on the bus two-way, that no more buses were to enter MK, it was full. This was about 10:30 in the morning. We got to Epcot, and passed the gates and turned around and spent the next few hours at the pool.
We returned to Epcot later that day to see the parade, and got a wonderful spot at the end of the route, which was fairly close to the area that we planned to watch Illuminations from. The other bad thing was the fact that this happened around 6:00 P.M. and there were already people staking out their place for the fireworks.
I would recommend Epcot, just be ready for the heat, with plenty of water, a book, or other timewaster.
