Four new race weekends?

From what I am reading from last weekend, maybe the mouse should redouble their efforts with the races they currently offer, then expand.

Was anything mentioned about changes to EEC for 2014? I thought I read something about them considering changes, but I am not sure if that was just wishful thinking.

I am just coming from the reading email and FB posting from folks I know who ran. The weekend was almost a unanimous cluster from the folks I know.

I think the EEC is wishful thinking, but I am in your boat. Not meaning to offend those who love the event, but from my camp (especially pre-move) I was hard pressed to pay the extraordinary $$ for a 5k, or is it an obstacle course race, or an adventure race... it's really a poor attempt at trying to create a race. This weekend would possibly be a great weekend to either tie in the Flower and Garden festival or Star Wars weekends. Early May is about as late as one would want to run a Disney half and that is a little early for the WDW Star Wars theming.

I went back and read through some peoples comments on the races this past weekend. It sounds like the whole weekend was screwed up. I'm really surprised about the issues with the kids races as those seem to be less tied to everything else. It was interesting seeing everyone's comments about the expo issues and then seeing all the responses of "it's never like this at a Disney race". Those people must not have been involved in Princess this year. I seems like runDisney is just getting to the point where they don't have the capabilities to handle races of this size.

It's a bummer about Everest. At a minimum I hope they do something to make better obstacles. It's sad when the local Saturday morning "bootcamp" in the park can set up better obstacles in about 30 minutes than what Disney does.

I'm just hoping they decide men are equally worthy to run all the new races. Knowing those <edit>ing scum bags at RunDisney I'm not holding my breath.

I read on a FB page that it will be Paris, Tokyo, Hawaii and a Star Wars race. Rumor, so take it for what it's worth

If those are them, for me, my interest/likelihood to do it would be...

No word on the forth so any serious discussion is not near complete.

I'm not surprised if they do a race in France. Would be nice to go but that would be an expensive trip. With a tl of 5 races in Florida, Calofornia does need some love. even if its just a 5k or 10k race added

The source indicated that the folks who count are continually amazed at the speed at which the DL events fill. It would not surprise me to learn that the missing forth in my conversation would be a second CA. I have nothing to base that on other than a quick discussion of 3 locations and an independent rumor from the rD folks in CA noting 4 events.
