Wasn't sure what to do...we knew the boys had taught her and explained the whole inappropriate behaviour thing...I promised the Mom I would talk to her again. It sucks having the kid that leads the rest astray.

I'll have to try and drop in tonight...don't want to miss the big move.

BKMETV I know you didn't ask for advice, so ignore this if you want. You said you had talked to DD about behavior but she went ahead and taught the other girls anyway. I think she should be punished for disregarding you. Maybe not letting her do something she likes this week. If she continues this the other moms may not let their daughters play with her any more. I'm sure your DD wouldn't want that! Of course I know you will handle this the way you feel is best.

I had only 6 weeks off after having DD. No pre time off either. Worked Friday and had DD on Monday.

Good Morning,
Cold and dreary here today. Hoping for warmer weather later this week. Kids are done with school on Thurs. and I am done with work on Friday. Its got to warm up soon.

Weather still sucks...we were in the pool by mid May last year...this year only once so far...putting the heater on would be throwing $ away since it's so cold at night...so it's still sitting around 70*F brrrr.

At least you have 70*F. Its only been 50-60*F here for the weekend and today. We'll be lucky if we get in the pool before July.

Are we all packed up for the move???

I THINK we're ready for the move. Its already giving me anxiety. At least we settled on a name really quickly and painlessly! I just worry that we'll forget someone or leave someone behind!

You all were chatty over the weekend. We're almost up to our 250th. It is nerve racking to get that last post to link to the new thread in before they 'kill' us.

Whgrn: Glad the project got finished with DS. It's great to be able to help when they do the work for it. I'm sure the fire making will get easier---especially with the right equipment.


DL55: Glad you enjoyed the race. My uncle likes to take me to local tracks when I visit NC. They are really a lot of fun. I think I could get into it and follow the local favorites. Those guys work hard on their cars.

mariezp: Beautiful pic...it truely does show God's masterpiece.

BKMETV: I kind of agree with DL55. She does need to know there are consequences for her misbehavior. She may be only 7 now but knows right from wrong. And what will she be like later if the lesson isn't hammered home now? I'm sure it was fun to show her friends something they didn't know but when she was told it was wrong and not to repeat it...some kind of discipline should be discussed. I'm not talking a harsh one now...I had to go and sit in the corner and to me, that was as bad as it got. I wasn't even allowed to have a book to look at! Of course we didn't have a tv when I was 7---the dark ages I know.

Racer should be having a great time today...hope the weather is holding out for them.

BKMETV welcome to my world! My DS is always the one causing trouble. I agree with the others--nip it in the bud now and she will realize its not worth the punishment to be a show off to her friends!

MK what a bummer for your nephew! We will definitely have to make it up to him in Hershey!

Never did get the fire going. I will buy some kindling this week and we will try again. Of course, now the wood is wet from the rain. I had it tucked under the picnic table on the porch, and DS decided to move it out to "dry in the sun". Well, guess who never moved it BACK??

I spent this morning helping out Mom and Dad. Daddy had to have a growth removed from his ear, so I dropped him off, then went back and got Mom and took her to PT. When she finished I took her home and we were just walking in the door when Daddy called to say he was done, so out I went. Picked him up, brought him home, and called Verizon to make the arrangements to switch Mom's cell over from AT&T so she is on Verizon with the rest of this. I had to do it for them, they just never bothered! So I figured since I was sitting there with them... Then I went and had lunch with my Dad. It was nice. I am so grateful that I live close enough (40 minutes away) to help out when they need me. Now my Dad has to have the wound cleaned and dressing changed daily, so if Mom cant do it, we will be running back and forth! I am spending the weekend there becuase of the Special Olympics, so I will be able to to it then, and I will be there tomorrow as well so I will do the first dressing change. Good thing I am a nurse!!!

My bags are packed, I am ready for our big move!!

7 more posts will put us on page 250, but I dont think they shut us down immediately at that point--they sort of have to "catch it" that we are that high. Dont we usually just switch over to avoid being shut down? I would think we could do that anytime.

MK, do you have the list of everyone we need to notify? The regulars are easy, but we also have our 'irregulars', like Shmu, Bopsmom, and Disney54us. We cant forget them!

I so do NOT have a list of "regulars" and "irregulars" for the thread. M&N and Racetrack usually help me with the notices.

Like last time, I'll wait until 8pm to start the new thread. Hopefully, enough of us will have checked in by then to know that we're moving on to the fifth thread at that time. If not, I'll need some of you to help me remember everyone and to notify them. I'll post a link to the new thread here at that time too.
