Four-mer TKers...4 one, 4 all, 4 ever

Good morning all! Dull, dreary and raining outside this morning. Good though, my yard will be happy and at least it is too wet for me to worry about taking on any of the outside chores. I've got plenty to do right here inside!

Thanks whgrn & D&DDisney for giving me your thoughts on "the dress". At least now I know I wasn't the only one who thought it less than appropriate for a prom dress. M&N, we don't want to get you in trouble! Just suffice to say that the dress was very revealing up top. Apparently the dress code requirements for prom has gone WAY down hill since I was in school.

I took a few pics of my poor kitty just for you whgrn. She has been cooped up in the garage so every time I visit she goes bonkers for attention so it was really hard to get her to be still and pose for a good photo. When she finally did sit still she wouldn't smile for the camera. Instead she seemed to show me a look of humiliation at having her picture taken or perhaps she was placing a curse on me. I'm not quite sure. So even thought she looks pretty pitiful she seems to be doing just fine. I would love to keep her in the house but with a cat and dog already inside DH will not budge. Thankfully she stays very close to home but that does not keep every other animal from invading her territory.

MagiKitty, I PMed you with my e-mail addy just in case Pinecone looks for some more members. Thanks for helping me out.
I took a survey a couple days ago that was for a Disney ad. I really enjoyed that one! Had a LONG one this morning. At least when they are long it tends to make you believe you will get compensated by the time you finally get to the end. I hate it when you plug in answers for a few minutes only to be told that you did not qualify for the survey. :headache:
Good luck getting those kitties to transition to a new box. Cats can be so picky!
Glad you are not still too aggravated with BF. M Those men can be so exasperating! We were running late as usual for church Sunday morning and DH starts saying we are not gonna make it before we even pull out the driveway. I said a few minutes late was better than not getting there at all. He did not agree. So he asks my son what he thinks. He's a smart boy and agreed with me to which DH says "Well, I respect your opinion so we will go ahead and go". HELLO! What about mine? Anyway, we ended up making it on time after all. I do agree that we are definitely under appreciated!

mariezp You were able to do a long post. What did you discover when you went to check on everyone?
Believe it or not they were not into any mischief. That doesn't happen very often!

I hope everybody has a great day!
:flower3:

How about TKers take the fifth?
mariezp loved the pics of the cat. If looks could kill...:rotfl2:

Annoyed at DH today. He didn't take the trash to the curb so we didn't get rid of our trash. I pulled his yard trash bag out so we'll have room for our garbage for another week. :headache: Trash in the heat..eew

D&D Am I just totally brain dead here? Or do I just have sticker overload? How the heck did I miss the tickers on both D&D AND M&N??? Oy!
Now D&D, I am not bringing the entire produce section!:lmao: I'll do my best on the cherries though, but someone will have to remind me--I barely remember my own name these days!
Well...I think you are losing it cause Racetrack has also had a ticker for a while now. :joker: That's okay...we'll cut you some slack on this. You're not fully healed yet. :lmao:
Oh... I'm not askin' for the whole produce section. Just the key ingredients for margaritas since y'all don't drink wine. :rolleyes2:rotfl2:

D&D, I'm sure you've mentioned this before, but do you have a camper? And what kind of drinks are we having? I do have a weakness for margaritas. :drinking1

Whoever brought up the idea of sending the kids off to ride the coasters while we have a nice cold drink gets a :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 from me. Though, I might have to make a round on the coasters with them just to get my thrill fix. :rotfl2:

We don't have a camper. Just a large tent. However, this time we are staying in camping cabins. Splurging a little but staying in budget. So far I think $75/night is the most we are paying for a cabin and that's in Hershey.
Margaritas are fine with me.
I brought up the idea of sending the kids off for a while to ride. Not for the entire day as I need to get some thrills riding too. However I do need to chat with my TKers a bit so maybe we can send the DHs off with the kids too????

At least you didn't say, speak of the devil! :rotfl: I didn't notice anyone post after me before I got off...I usually show up Mondays. I went shopping and out to eat with Mom and a friend today so I didn't get home as early.
I only mentioned that because just as I said "M&N has a ticker..." - BOOM - there you were chiming in right on cue.

I LOVE the idea of TKers take the fifth! Perfect title.
Bummer about the missing trash day! :crazy2:

Marie
- Love those pics of you cat w/ the cone. Poor kitty. Sure looks happy about it ---NOT!!!! :rotfl2:

Good afternoon all! Grey and rainy here too. Apparently its warm outside but I can't tell.

Looked so forward to hitting my grocery yesterday and there was no cherries! Just a sad little sign that due to weather in California they can't promise the produce, blah blah blah. I did pick up strawberries. I may stalk the produce section tonight in vain hopes for those gorgeous beauties.

Oh! Can we make mudslides while we're busting out the blenders for margaritas? I figure we should do something to pay homage to chocolate...

I LOVE TKers take the fifth. So funny AND we get to keep our motif.

I'm not familiar at all with the Hersheypark layout, but I'm more than sure at some point, we'll all need a timeout and head our separate ways: TKers, kids, hubbies, whatnot.

Marie, got the PM and will totally keep a lookout. What Disney survey did you do? I gave my email to Disney marketing while I was down there and was told to look for a follow-up survey but I never got it (unless it went to my spam folder). I joined SheSpeaks a long, long time ago and never heard from them but yesterday I just was offered a trial of bliss moisturizer which is thrilling me! I cannot afford bliss spa products on a regular day so to get some for free is awesome. I'll also get some coupons so if anyone wants them, I'll be able to send them when I get my kit.

BF is totally feeling guilty about the genius comment. He keeps thinking of "sweet" things to do for me. I'm not one for cut flowers and he insists that I secretly want them. Really, no. I keep telling him to save his money and get me a rental car in September instead. I have to have a rental car in Orlando--how else will I get to the outlets? :lmao:

Kitties transitioned to new box pretty well, I believe. I got this really cute "kitty outhouse" for Christmas, but my fatty cat can't get through the door. Its so sad. He wants to go inside like everyone else and I feel bad for the size discrimination. So we're back to the litter tent. Admittedly not as cute as the outhouse, but I'm an equal opportunist.

Are ya happy now Racetrack! #1500 at last!!

OK, so its official--I AM brain dead. 3 people with Hershey tickers and I didnt notice. Duh...

DL I :love::love: TKers Take the 5th!!!! Its perfect!!!

marie the conehead kitty pictures are hilarious. Talk about a death glare!! Poor kitty is probably mortified that you actually took photos.

Racetrack, I hope you are feeling better. Its tough being sick when you are trying to be both Mom and Dad. Does DH get home soon?

M&N, please tell us that the skunk WAS outside...:scared1:

MK I knew there were weather issues in CA, but I haven't seen anything like that about cherries. Ours here have been plentiful, reasonably priced, and YUMMY! Did you truly get a kitty OUTHOUSE??:lmao: This I gotta see!

I took my car (unnamed) in for service this morning and was appalled at the smut on TV. Tyra Banks had couples on who cant have s*x, and discussed the issue in graphic detail. :scared1: Who actually watches this garbage! :confused3 I was horrified, and switched to the Nissan waiting room, where Rachel Ray was cooking on TV instead.

So, now I have to make a choice between Columbia (NYC) and Johns Hopkins (Baltimore) for a wound care center. Obviously if I go with JH, I would have to be able to do most of the treatments locally--I am certainly not driving 3 hours a couple times a week! My sister thinks JH looks better, and I was more impressed with Columbia. I got a response from them with a phone number to call. I will wait til tomorrow and see if I hear from JH too, but if not I think I will go with my gut (pardon the horrible pun...) and pick NYC.

Marie, did you see on the Budget Board site the posts about a survey site called suveryhead? I just joined. Cashback via paypal. Earn $5 for joining. They found four surveys for me to take, qualified for two--on my way to earning more spending money!

Wendy, I will sadly admit I find those trashy shows amusing. But then again, I don't have children to worry about. Even I have a threshold for crappy tv, I'm not a die-hard fan. Seems to be slim pickings of quality programming lately. Lots of reruns. Enjoying getting back to my reading lately, although will tune into big brother when it returns.

I will push for Columbia just for ease of getting there. And they got back to you sooner. I like that they're on top of things.

Here's my kitty outhouse...http://www.blair.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=4313&parentCategoryId=3&categoryId=342& The towel rack makes me laugh. I always tell the kitties to wash their paws after using the washroom!

Hi all:

Well it's still cold up here but now that it's June I'm hopeful!!

Ev, the Crunchies sound interesting. So weird that stuff tastes better in one place than another. Perfect example is Cadbury. I LOVED Cadbury when I was in England back in the 80s. We practically lived on their Fruit and Nut bars. When I came back to the States, I was so excited to see them in our store, and promptly bought some. YUCK! It didn't even taste like the same thing! But thats OK, since I am a Hersheys girl anyway!!:lmao:

You'll have to try one while your there...we get all the Cadbury bars but they're made here and definitely not as good. Don't yell but I have to say I hate Hershey chocolate...guess it's an acquired taste.

Just wait a minute there sister. I'll join you. :drinking1

Yeah at least I won't drink my wine alone!!

Evening!!!

I spent the day kind of lounging around even though I should have been cleaning the house before vacation. I just feel so exhausted.

Wendy, DH most likely won't be home until Friday afternoon. He thought he would be home tomorrow because of rain that is heading that way but now they just are going to try and wait it out. And when we get back, he either has to go back to NY or head down for Tennessee for a few weeks. On top of it, the company's owners are asking when we are going to move. Well, we might get working on it if he was ever freakin home. It is just not possible for me to do by myself.

oh yeah

D&D, we can always send the guys and kids off the the waterpark section. There is plenty there for all the various aged kids to keep busy for a while.

I think we have winner in Tkers Take the Fifth. I love it. :yay:

MK, I have seen that before. I was picturing an actual little mini outhouse!

Ev, Hersheys is just in my blood. My Mom has always loved it, and I first went to Hershey when I was about 8 years old. We never ate anything else! So you are welcome to all the Cadbury, and I will keep the Hersheys for myself!:lmao:

racetrack, I can imagine that planning a move without DH would be quite impossible. You might point that out to his boss!:rotfl:

Wound Center update--I got a call from Johns Hopkins this afternoon. She is sending me an email (which I didnt get yet) with a longer form to fill out. I also need to get my pertinent medical records for the past 6 months and send them along. They will give it all to their physician review panel, who will recommend which doctor I need to see. This takes 7-10 business days. Then, they make an appointment for me. Unless they consider it urgent (and after 6.5 years, that is doubtful), I would get the next new patient appointment, generally in 6 - 12 weeks. So basically, the soonest they would get me in there would be...when I get back from Scotland!!!:cool1::worship::banana: :yay: I am one happy camper!!! Anyway, tomorrow I will call Columbia and see what they have to say. Hopefully their time frame is similar, so my decision will be an easy one. Scotland first, treatment afterwards. Works for me!!

Oh, and I finally finished my Scotland scrapbook tonite! I think it came out really well. Cant wait to show my DSis!!

I've been queasy all day, and both kids came home feeling yucky. Hope we dont have some sort of stomach bug. I just figured mine was related to the antibiotic I am taking. Gotta remember to take the nausea medicine tonite so I dont wake up barfing again tonite. Ugh. Its so weird becuase other than this I really feel great! I even went to the gym again today and did 30 minutes on the elliptical. Its just this nausea thing. Guess I have to deal with it while on the antibiotic, and I still have 2 weeks left. I should start eating yogurt every day--maybe that will help.

Well, I cannot stop yawning, so I am off to bed. Good grief it is only 9:43 pm!

Good evening ladies!

Just a quick post before I go to bed.

I love the possible new thread name! I tried to think of something but drew a blank.

I have a question for you ladies as I know some of you are headed back to WDW later this fall. I need to know how thick the bathroom door is at Pop Century. I have an over the door shoe holder that I brought with us last time and the hooks did not fit! DH had to bend them to hang off the mirrror that is on the door. I want to know the thickness so I can make up my own hooks. I posted this question on the Pop thread but as typical for me nobody answered it. Actually, somebody else quoted me that they wanted to know the same thing and someone else told us that we do not want to hang the shoe holder over the door but instead get one that hangs in the closet. If I want one that hung in the closet I would have bought one and I wouldn't need to know the thickness of the bathroom door now would I. And, I don't care if it covers the mirror. I only care how I look from the waste up and I can see that in the mirror over the sink.

whgrn: I hope it works out so you can do your trip before you have to go to the Wound Center.

racetrack: I'm getting so excited for Universal! I so can't wait to hear about it!

Hello! marie, DL, D&DD, M&N, BKMETV, Magikitty and pepper!

Have a good night!

Evening ladies.

DL55, I can so relate to having a DH and trash issues. I get it on the porch and he is supposed to take it from there. If I did not finally get fed up with it piling up I swear I think the whole porch would get covered and he would never do anything about it until I said something!

MagiKitty, ya know, I am really not sure who the Disney survey was with! Sad, huh? I guess I should keep up with it better to make sure I am getting my credit but I haven't. I'll do some checking in the morning to see if I can find it. Last year at DL I was stopped to take about 3 or 4 surveys at home. I think they only sent me about 2 and they were really pretty short and boring. Sounds like getting the bliss moisturizer as a reward was right up your alley! I will have to venture over to the budget board and read up on suveryhead. I do good in a day if I make it to the TKer thread and get in a few on TGM.
Hey, you might enjoy and take advantage of BF feeling guitly for a little while. You probably deserve it for all the pain and suffering you went through! I have to agree though... while flowers are okay there are much better and practical ways for him to make amends!
Love the kitty outhouse! Too bad your little fatso kitty can't make it through the door. He doesn't know what he's missing!

whgrn,
congratulations-1.gif
on your 1500th post!
I tell you something even worse than Tyra Banks show is knowing someone who actually went on one of those talk shows! I have a cousin that was on Jerry Springer's "Lazy Lover" show. Sad to say but obviously I have some STRANGE relatives! I never watched it, and I am not sure who does. I just heard about it through "the grapevine".
Good luck deciding on which wound care center. Take care of yourself!

Tkers Take the Fifth sounds good to me too.

Hi D&DDisney, BKMETV, racetrack18kb & Pikester

My son suggested we LOL my kitty. So here's how she came out...
128884574124895311.jpg

I have to tell you though that she was not really mad at me. The look she has is really her "dreamy" look that she gets when she is getting petted. She is such a good cat. She even purrs when I give her medicine AND doesn't even try to chew my arm off!

Marie, the kitty poster is priceless! You need to blow that up big and put it on your wall!!

DS is in charge of garbage here. It is his only regular chore besides keeping his room and playroom in order. And yet every time I ask him to do it he makes a fuss. And taking it to the street? If it gets out one day each week we are doing great. Recycling is worse because it only comes every 2 weeks so if he misses it, we go a whole month and the can overflows.

We had quite a thunderstorm and downpour last night. Naturally, DD came and got in bed with me. At least this time she wasnt whimpering! DS slept through the whole thing. I had a half decent sleep, and woke up at 7:40. Cant go back to sleep, so I'm up for the day--and still tired. Ugh.

Good morning! It looks like the sun is trying to work its way out. I do hope it does, this weather has just been so unpredictable.

Pikester, we did stay at Pop last year, but honestly, I have no idea how thick the door was. It was a thicker door, though, coz my bf was taking a bath and calling for me and I couldn't hear him with the tv on. I hope that someone gives you a more definitive answer! Maybe you could look into those 3m removable sticky hooks? I use them to hang my Christmas stockings and they're pretty sturdy. They'll have them at the hardware store.

Marie, I did well with surveyhead yesterday--I already earned $12 (you need $25 to cash out). I also noticed that I had earned enough for a $25 gc on another survery site, which I'll use for a meal down in Orlando. and I love that kitty pic! Priceless!

Racetrack, are you ready for your vacay? Its so soon!

I'm watching the people waiting for the September hours to come out. Apparently its really close to when they can make ADRs and people are freaking. I think I'll be in the same boat soon as I can make my ADRs on July 2nd....all I know is that BF wants to go to Sci-Fi again. And I want to try Sanaa at AKL. Everything else is just up in the air. I can't even think of it right now...

Oh! We don't have any around here, but its free rootbeer float night at Sonic after 8pm. Maybe someone could enjoy one for me (actually, I prefer coke floats, but its all in good spirit)

Have a great day everyone!

Sorry I don't have any door info...maybe that poster was just trying to be helpful with the other suggestion since they didn't know your answer. But then again...:confused3 If you made them too big just in case, would it still work? Could you take extra wood or bend cardboard to make up for it being too big? Just thinking outside the box...

I like us taking the 5th too! :yay:

I probably slept through our storm last night. Mom had a bad one so it probably passed over me too. I went to bed early...as you can tell, no chatting last night. I've got to get to the fitness center before it storms today...didn't go yesterday and I cannot be bad anymore.

One stupid question from here...how can you get an email from yourself that you didn't send? I know it's just junk mail but how can someone use your email address to send you some junk? I had about 5 of them in my spam box today.

M&N If you are getting email from "yourself" it sounds like someone has hijacked your computer! I'm not sure how to correct this IF I'm right. :scared1:
whgrn Congrats on 1500! :) Are you saying that you have been battling this unhealed wound for 6.5 YEARS?!

Although plain Hersey bars are not on top of my list, I won't turn one down. ;)
I'm glad everyone likes my idea for the new thread. That was probably the peak of my creativity.

Howdy Ho,
Just returned from grocery shopping. OMG..it is getting so hard to stay in budget each week. Boys are eating more but prices are rising almost .10/item each week. I'm spending close to $120 per week and thats just for the basics - milk, meat, bread, lunch food, produce, etc. Now granted we don't go out to eat and I am buying more fresh fruits and veggies lately (cause the are in season) but holy cow. No fancy meals here. I'm even doing coupons (double coupons) and sales and still $$$. What's going on?

:cool1:I got a job interview at a new school on Friday! Its for a PT supportive consultant. Hope it pans out.

I just feel so exhausted.

D&D, we can always send the guys and kids off the the waterpark section. There is plenty there for all the various aged kids to keep busy for a while.
Maybe you are pregnant?

My youngest is already planning to wear his swimsuit to the park that day.

:yay::woohoo:Almost vacation time!!!!:cool1::dance3:

If I want one that hung in the closet I would have bought one and I wouldn't need to know the thickness of the bathroom door now would I. And, I don't care if it covers the mirror. I only care how I look from the waste up and I can see that in the mirror over the sink.
:rotfl2::rotfl2: I always love the way you think Pikester. :rotfl2::rotfl2: You make me laugh.

M&N & Racetrack - DS7 is doing his report today on PA. :thumbsup2 I'll let you know how it turns out.

M&N...I don't know about the email thing, but it doesn't sound good. Just make sure your anti-virus and firewall stuff are up do date. Maybe its a weird automatic reply kind of thing.

Re: Hershey. So there's a waterpark involved? Is it at the park or is it separate? How much are tix? Oh goodness, if my younger niece finds out, she may quit the family wedding and stow away with me.

My spies told me that there was a new produce delivery this morning and I scored some gorgeous cherries! They are mmm..mmm good! I totally agree, D&D, prices are crazy. Here's my confession of the day: I thought I'd save a little money and make my own mayonnaise. I got the recipe, I already had the ingredients. but WHOA! Did it not work out. Didn't look right, didn't taste like anything. Thoroughly disheartening. I picked up a bottle at the store today--on sale for $3.99 :scared1:. Luckily, cereal was on sale at least.

D&D....good luck on the job interview! :woohoo:

DL55...I love me some chocolate. I especially like Hershey Kisses and the chocolate bars with the almonds. Yum. :worship::worship: You are the thread-naming queen! Thanks for doing all the difficult thinking for the rest of us. No need to freak out when page 250 comes sneaking up on us....

The water park part of Hershey is part of the regular part. You may only wear your swim suit in the water park area. This probably isn't as noticeable with boys. I think they don't want wet seats on the other rides. There are other rides around it. I haven't walked back there yet...only been 1 time. I hope to see my friend about tickets this week. You can go to Zoo America through the park too. It's not that great but sometimes you can see animals.

:worship: M&N you rock, you Hershey-goddess! Good to know about waterpark, wouldn't have thought to bring swimsuit otherwise. Its not one of those parks that you can't wear a coverup, though? I don't want to scare the children!

These plans have gotten me very excited!

Ok, sorry to sound like a lush, but I'd like to bring some of the campfire goodies with me...what should I bring? I'm not much of a bartender, so I'd really appreciate some suggestions of what to contribute alcohol-wise. While we're at it, I've never had a smore, so if you let me know what's involved, I'll bring some of that stuff too!
