I had to laugh re IHOP..I had mentioned to DH that I wanted to go to IHOP next time we go into the city. I really like breakfasts but don't eat large ones normally. Like the bright mohawk.

I thought Kitty should be back. You are right about time going slower in the real world. I did start something before I left on p 210. I posted and ran! I hope that Hershey fund grew during the sale. What gets me is around here you go and mark things and people always want to bargain with you. I think if that's what you marked it, then that's what you want for it.


It rained over 2 inches in my rain gage since Friday. I went to Hershey to see Davey Jones. The place was not packed at all. I did see one coaster running. The concert was good. It was a hour but then an hour later was another but didn't stay for it. We went back to 2 places for flowers today. It was raining pretty hard while we were in one greenhouse. That sounded so neat---just love hearing rain on the roof.
About the race...I just guess Kyle needed to win since it was his birthday.

But poor Jr...I just don't know what his problem is...

DL55, DD is 13 and there is no way she would wear the same sandals as mom. She is just way too cool for something like that. It's ok though, mine will match way more outfits and if she wants anymore, she has to buy them with her own money.

D&D, ooh, I love garage sales. Going to them, not having them. But I wish you lots of luck on Friday.

I'm not sure when Magikitty and LITC are suppose to be back. I just know when they were suppose to leave.

Well, it looks like Kyle will break the most wins under the age of 25 record. He tied Jeffie on Saturday and he still has another year to go.

I don't understand what is wrong with Jr this year. I don't like him but he really does usually race better than this.

Do you think going to Hendrick was such a good move? I don't only because it seems as though Hendrick always seems to favor Jeffie and Jimmie.

I can't figure out Jr either. Sometimes when he's interviewed at the track he seems distracted or out of it. I don't know if he just feels so much pressure or if he just can't cut it. Some racers are better in a certain series. Maybe he just needs a new crew chief/team like others are trying. I think his cousin is a good crew chief but maybe they have just worked together too much. I know they separated when he was in the 8 for a while and it didn't work...but something needs to be done. They were saying how great Mark Martin would be with Hendricks but he hasn't set the world on fire either. I mean he won but so has Jr. I really feel Jimmie has been given the best of everything. It's just a tough sport. A little change to the car makes a big change to how it handles.

I think it's a big combination of things. People expect him to be as good as Sr and he's not. I don't mean that in a bad way against Jr but Sr was an incredible driver and a presence on the track. Must be hard to try to live up to that.

I honestly believe Jimmie and Jeffie get the best equipment over there. They even have separate garages for the 2 sets of teams. How are they really suppose to work together if they are not even in the same place?

And I think Jr needs a new crew chief. He always drove better when Tony Sr was there with him. Do you know where he is working now? Maybe he needs to come back.

About Universal---what are those passes they have like Fast Passes? I think you have to pay for it. Will you get if free? I was trying to understand a thread complaining that that was better than Disney's system---of course others disagreed.

You can buy ones that you can use once per ride during that day. The price varies depending on how busy it is.

But if you stay at one of Universal's hotels (3 total) you get unlimited front of the line access. You show your room key and enter what would like the fast pass line. There are no passes to get though and there is no assigned time for you to ride.

For my older ones, it will be great for them to ride the thrill rides over and over. They can get off and go right back on if they want.

We are staying at one of their hotels so we will get it for "free" though we are paying a ton to stay there.

Had a great weekend away...the wedding was great but it was a long drive (about 8 hours)...and then it snowed on Saturday afternoon ...which ruled out wearing sandals!!

Anyways I glad to be home...spent yesterday getting the school newsletter out so now it's laundry and unpacking!

Racetrack---Universal's pass sounds great for you. Someone had posted that it would not work for Disney because they have a lot more people staying on property. But figure if you had to pay extra for each person's pass it would be a lot too. I don't see that much benefit if the one you buy would only work once a day. You would not get to go on the ride more. I don't remember that much about their rides. I was there in 2001 and I also did Disney. It's kind of blurred! Plus my friends don't do thrill rides anyway. I think we did one up in Seuss Land.
