OK weird, I hit reply and got sent to some other site--dis unplugged, isn't that the banned site? Don't ban me! I didn't go there on purpose!

Anyway...

we didnt get baskets, just a little cereal bowl with jellybeans, chocolate eggs, little stuff like that. Never even saw a chocolate bunny until I was older and my friends were getting them. My grandmother gave us more stuff, maybe even in a basket but I don't remember. by the time I was 10 I wasn't getting candy from her anymore--I was too fat so I got a bathing suit instead. everyone else got candy, and then got a bathing suit a few weeks later, so I got doubly gypped! (and you wonder why I was such an emotional mess for so long!!)

I give my kids little baskets, with a little bit of candy and some little thing like an iTunes card. The ex gives them a TON of candy that gets thrown out because they dont eat it. And all sorts of presents. DD got a DVD and a purse, DS got a book an an airplane kit. What is it, Christmas?

Well the internet here is slow as molasses, and I am po*ped, so I am gong to bed. gotta be up at 5:30. Next time you hear from me I will be in PARADISE!!!!

Still sunny & cold here. We have no big plans for the day. I've got the same problem at Pike...way too much snot!! so will probably take it easy.

My kids had little eggs to find and got new clothes and a small toy from EB. Mom gave them big kinder eggs (which my neighbour tells me you can't get in US because it's illegal to put a toy in a candy??)

We made out like bandits when I was a kid. Two sets of grandparents and a Great Aunt. We'd get 2-3 baskets! And seldom was there a toy almost always candy. We would also get new Easter outfits..dress, and hat and sometimes a little purse. I still remember those hats. I've already eaten the whole package of peeps I bought last week. I'm hoping we'll score some more today when we check out the clearance candy.
I've already spent money today. I had my hair cut..I now look more civilized.. and new walking shoes. I'm set for awhile now.

Yesterday at work, I saved my school about $40,000. Its my job to negotiate with the textbook sales people and we are buying new Reading/Language Arts books for next year. So I not only got the rep to give us quote UNDER BUDGET, but then to also throw in $40K in freebees.
Bet they're wondering why they didn't renew my contract now.

Way to go! Toot all you want. I just bet the mark up on that stuff is awful! I'm sure the salesman was thrilled for the order.

I read the smut books and I love them! Every month I'm in the book aisle at Wal-mart looking for my Harlequin/Silhouette fix. I do admit that sometimes all that smutty stuff gets in the way of the story and I always wonder why my DH isn't like those HOT guys. Maybe I should get him to read them so he can get some ideas.

There's a difference between trashy and smutty. I think smutty is more graphic. I think trashy is good---some detail but leaves some to the imagination too.

I'm there! My head is so stuffed up it's hard to breath. I've done nothing but lay around all day. I wish I could do the same thing tomorrow but the Easter Bunny will be stopping by tonight which means the kids will be up earlier then normal. Plus I have to go grocery shopping. I won't be able to do that until after the kids see their Easter stuff. I usually get to the stores between 7:00am and 7:30am but who knows when I'll be getting there tomorrow. I hope it's not busy.

And just when did this become a rule?

The family has decided to take a weekend to take my visiting family up to Niagara Falls next month. I will be driving the fun, cool car with my twins and older nieces. Once near the border, my twins and I plan to shake the rest of the family and jet up to Toronto Saturday night and crash with another cousin. Secretly, we're using him to catch a show of some band that they love, and I am using to recapture my youth. It is still the planning stages, but I have a passport and my brother's car, and I am not too old not to pull off some demented scheme like this. And there's always the Maid of the Mist to be had.

Sounds like some fun sneaky planning ahead. Never too old to scheme up some fun!

Cold rainy day here. Kids are home and driving me crazy already. Luckily they did get 1 toy of sorts, from the EB. Lego Indiana Jones. That buys me some time to get on the computer and talk with adults.
We had a nice Easter dinner and the kids faired pretty well with the candy too.

Evening!!! I had a rough day with the kids. I must have spent my entire day just yelling. I feel so worn out. I don't even know what got into them today. Whining, *itching, tormenting each other. I am so glad they go back to school tomorrow. I don't think I could take another day of this.

Sorry Ev and Pikester that you are both sick with the never-ending snot. When I get colds like that, I must go through an entire box of tissues in a day. Hope you feel better soon.

Did you see that Harry Kalas died? I enjoyed listening to him do the play by play for the Phillies. I was flipping between some of the Phillie stations at the evening news. They had a lot of great things about him on. Mom called me when she turned on the game. It was a hard game for them to play today.

Been busier than a kitty cat covering it up. Work etc...

My SIL left my BIL randomly (My DH's Brother). That was some fun family drama to watch over Easter dinner...NOT.

I guess she decided she wanted to be free (or actually with his best friend..you just can't make this stuff up!).

Personally I think she needs grief counseling but no one will listen. This is a lady who a year and a half ago had a normal life. In the past year and a half she has lost first her mother, then watched her father literally drink himself to death (he died about three weeks before my Dad did) then two weeks ago her Grandmother that she was extremely close with died. We are literally the only family she had left and she pretty much kicked us to the curb. I do hope it all works out for them, but I just don't see it happening.

I agree, pepper, it sounds as though she does need some type of counseling. That is a heck of a lot of stuff to have happen in such a short amount of time. It sounds as though she is completely overwhelmed with grief. Even if things don't work out for them, I hope she gets help.

I have to check out for tonight. I have an early meeting at DD school tomorrow about if we need to continue her speech therapy. They've retested her but I don't have the results yet.
