Hey everyone!!! Had a totally non-productive day today. I did got shopping, if that counts as doing something. I did buy DD5 and I matching Kyle Busch shirts. Going to wear them one of the days at the Hershey meet just to annoy M&N.

Redbox has free codes pretty often. You can even reserved a movie on line and go pick it up. That comes in handy for the new releases. You can also use it just to see what particular redbox has before you even go to the store. Why waste a trip if there isn't a movie there that you want to see.

D&D, I know exactly how you feel with DS. Drives you insane.

Had a nice, restful, relaxing day. Plenty of online time, watched some DVDs, read the new TIME magazine. Did my exercises too. For some reason my knee is really bothering me today. I iced it almost constantly but to no avail. I actually just took some Percocet. I NEVER take it anymore except bedtime and for PT, but it just hurt too darned much not to. Waaaah!!!

My Dad is so proud of himself. He was able to get himself dressed all by himself, except for his shoes. so now he has new velcro shoes. And I got him a new sling with a velcro strap, so he will be able to put it on by himself too! Hooray! He can go on his trip next week! Which means Mommy will be staying here with us for 4 days! WooHoo!!!! i lvove my parents!

I was talking to the visiting nurse yesterday and I told her about my TKers and how y'all have sent me cards and flowers and good wishes. She was amazed! I told her about the Hershey meet and she thought that was so cool.

So, today I was talking with my BFF, and I got to thinking about how totally blessed I am. I have a wonderful family who I adore (including my kids, even when they drive me nuts, which is 99% of the time...). I have the most awesome BFF on the planet. I have some other really nice friends, from church, the gym, etc. And I have the most amazing online support groups, here and on SparkPeople, of people who actually care about someone they've never met!

If I beleived in luck, i'd say I was the luckiest girl on the planet.

The sun is shining here and it's actually kinda warm...even got to go out without my winter coat.

D&D - I think all of us mothers of boys can feel your pain.

Pike - the colour is call Northern Exposure...beats me why...I'll take some pic once the fixtures are in. Apparently there is a big tax break for home renovations this year so how DH is talking about doing the upstairs bath.

Happy Sunday everyone! Another wonderful day here, although I should just get used to the chill. Still winter coat weather here--although most of the snow is gone so I can put the boots away!

Wendy, your post made me tear a little bit. We are all very, very lucky to have so many blessings in our lives.

Ev, I like the name of the color. I may not know what it looks like, but already I find it quite soothing!

Ok, the denial has to end soon. The Mousesavers newsletter came out today. I should buy my tickets soon. I know I want to upgrade to an AP. I've crunched the numbers. We're staying offsite this trip, so I'll have to pay 7 days worth of parking ($84) in addition to my park tickets. And I still have my bounceback offer to hope for in October. An AP makes sense, right? I figure, maybe two trips plus parking practically equals an AP.

Again, the math. I can save about $50 by going through Undercover Tourist by buying a 7 day hopper plus water parks and non-expire. Just buying the 4/3 deal saves me $16. That's a big difference! I just need some support before I go through with this...ugh. I know its the right thing to do...

I'm going to go glaze my ham right now and think about it some more...

Hi all. Today is very sunny and in the upper 40ties. I think it's a little windy. My DH does't seem to think so. This week-end he has fallen 3 trees. One was leaning toward our garage, one was rotten and headed toward the house, and the third one was rotten and leaning toward the road where all the wires are. I was very nervous watching. My job was to watch for cars. The biggest tree will help us toward the wood we are going to need. We have seen a cord of wood from $175.00-$275.00.

I hope that everyone is feeling better.

Well, I hear the chainsaw starting up again. I guess I should go and check on him.

MagiKitty Are you pretty sure you'll go back for bounceback? if so I would think an AP might be worth it. But if you only go once this year it definitely wouldn't be worth it. Sometimes making decisions can be so hard.

Thanks, DL55, for your input. A second trip is almost definite. Its just a matter of when. We're booked for bounceback for early October, and I want to go then because its F&W. BF would like to go later in the season; he enjoys the parks dressed up in holiday splendor. Plus, his birthday is November, mine is December, and he's hoping to take advantage of Disney!

I'm almost definitely getting my tickets this week. Yes, definitely almost.

Great TV night! Amazing Race, Big Love, and Breaking Bad. I finally accomplished puffy bread pudding and I have some strawberries, so its going to be a lovely evening all around. Yum!

Hey Girls!

I have been out again.
My internet has been out for a week It Sucks!!!!
I have missed reading about everyone.

We are now on Spring Break and the temps have dropped to the 40's wouldn't ya figure. I would have to heat to pool now for March-unheard of...

I hope all of you are good....if you care, here is what is going on here....


Yesterday I took a class on mehindi (henna tatoos) thanks to my Mom. I love to get them considering DH won't let me get real tatoos. We had so much fun. Today I have done DD and her friends. You know how it is here--no school---house full of girls.

DH has been out of town for weeks on end but I told him this week he can not be on the border (TX/MX border) because of all the troubles/kidnapping etc. down there. He looks like a DEA agent, drives a black Volvo with extra dark tint---he is such a canidate for kidnapping.

This is Birthday weeks coming up for DD and I ......I am throwing her a bowling party for her friends on the 27th I have to wrap up the fundraiser for her band that day too.

Hold on to your hats......I get to add two more names to my concert list. Today DH gave me two tickets (really great seats) to the Billy Joel/Elton John concert and a weekend at the Valencia in San Antonio. I told him yes, I would take him with me so we leave on Friday noon for a couple's weekend.
I am so excited....I have waited YEARS to go see Elton John and Billy Joel is just a great bonus.....

To Be 6 Again....


A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife, looking at
herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have for her birthday.

'I'd like to be six again', she replied, still looking in the mirror.

On the morning of her birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a day! He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster, everything there was..

Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down.

He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake.

Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy, M&M's. What a fabulous adventure!

Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted. He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, 'Well dear, what was it like being six again?'

Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed. 'I meant my dress size, you retard!!!!'

The moral of the story: Even when a man is listening, he is gonna get it wrong.

Ev, the stewardesses went from first to last place last night. It was crazy! They had to run a mile in their undies in Siberia! But it was a non-elimination round last night. Luke and Margie came in first. They're my faves. I think he's so much cuter with his glasses too.

My littlest niece who I'm taking to Disney was in the hospital. She has serious scoliosis and she was having problems breathing. It seems the bottom portion of her lungs are adhering to her diaphragm. She's always been really sickly and I just hope she can be well enough to travel and to enjoy. She's only nine and has been in a body case for three years already. She's so excited to go see Mickey.

I've figured out my ticket situation. Just can't commit.

Racetrack, do you have AmEx? AmEx rewards has Sea World tickets on there. You could get free tickets that way. And don't forget to stamp your tickets before you leave for a second free day. You may decide you want to go back another time.

So sorry to hear she's in the hospital! I hope she's feeling better soon. Might be you'll need to get her a wheelchair for all or part of the trip. She'll hate it, but she'll have a much better time if she isn't in pain or having trouble breathing!

Bopsmom I am sooooooo jealous! First, becuase you have an AWESOME DH, and second, becuase you are going to MY concert that I wish I was going to! They are here while I'm in Scotland, so I can't go. BFF got tix for her birthday. Lucky bum!

Only about 50 here today and looking like rain. I went to the grocery store this AM all by myself and WALKED through the store just pushing my cart. 4 bags of groceries later, I am sitting with my feet up and ice on my knee. it didnt' start to hurt until I was at the checkout. Go figure. At least I got my groceries! I have FINALLY gotten back to eating right, after 2 months+ of being careless (and gaining back 7 pounds...). It's amazing how much better I feel when I eat right! I need to remind myself of that fact!

Got our family picture taken this morning.

Let me tell you...it is sooo hard to get yourself ready, and then 3 other people as well. Make sure hair is combed, kids are clean, and clothes stay looking nice until we leave. DS10 hates to dress up and got angry that I made him wear a nice shirt and pants. Proceeded to tear a hole in his shirt and then rip off the button from his pants all in the 5 min before we had to leave. I went crazy!!!!

He always seems to cause trouble for others when he doesn't want to do something. What am I going to do with that kid????

Now you have a pic and can tell his future wife how aggrivating he was when he was young! Just keep blackmail in mind.

I think when the time is right, you will feel the urge. It does sound like the AP makes sense. The parking is a killer. Do you get discount for food with it? It may be because my friend is a cm. Don't think the price will go up again do you?

Thank you all on the ticket support. And yes, AP does get you at least 10% discount on food, 20% other places. Makes me feel better.

Congrats Wendy on getting your shopping accomplished! Just take it easy the rest of the day. You've done enough. And some grocery stores are HUGE! If you're anything like me, and forget some things, I can walk the store two or three times before I actually make it to the cashier. That can be a workout!

Yeah, Mariane gets a little winded at times. We'll see how she feels in the days leading up to the trip. We'll just pick up a wheelchair if we feel she needs it. I really don't think she'll mind anything as long as she's at Disney.
