Well at least he is working. It could be worse. I always feel bad for military families--I don't know how they can bare to be away from their families so long.

I am ok-basically. In a bit of a funk. Money just seems to be getting tighter and tighter lately. I have two baby showers and four birthdays this month. Ugh, it never ends.

And a "friend" of mine-who I have known for years, for seem reason just seems to be ignoring me lately. Not sure why. I thought we were closer than that, but I guess you never really do know.

This is a bad month...holiday letdown I guess too. Gas went up over the weekend. I have trash, sewer, water, and health insurance extra to pay this month too. Plus I don't like winter weather and it looks like rain, sleet, freezing rain, and snow are in the forcast this week. On top of that I'm to start a diet? Well, I'm waiting until after the 10th...I'm taking Mom to Hotel Hershey for her 78th bday (actually the 14th) and I'm eating all the chocolate I want!

Sorry about the friend. Has it been happening for a while? Could it be because of the holidays? Things always get so hectic at that time.

We are being very careful with money right now. Things are always tight for us this time of year but it just seems like what we do have, isn't going as far. Our grocery bill is sky high right now and I have to work on that.

I think that is a part of it to M&N, it takes sooo lon to get here and then, boom it's all over.
I am so jealous you are going to the Hershey hotel, I have wanted to go there for years, haven't made it yet though. I hope you have lots of fun!

I'm not really sure what is up with her. It started a bit back (after Christmas, pre-NYE) so I texted her and we talked back and forth a little, and since then absolutely nothing. She said I had said something the last time at her house that she "didn;t know how to take" but I explained that she took it wrong, I was actually poking at myself, and she said it was in the past, so.....

On the budget side, I just got the book Americas cheapest family from the library, this family says they live debt free on 35K a year, I want to see if I can pick up any tips.

It's also my DH's and DS's birthdays this month. Oh, and my wacky SIL's too. In fact, for the next 6 months, it's a major birthday for someone in my family. And each month, they come within days of each other.

I'm going to have to try to get to the Hershey Hotel before we move. Is it really nice there?

And Sadler deserves to be out of that car. He has not done anything even close to good.

You pick up any tips from that book, make sure you pass them along. Anything to save another buck is good for me.

Maybe she just needs time to put things into perspective? I know sometimes someone says something to me and I take it the wrong way. But it takes time until I realize that I'm being the doofus about it.

I hope that could be it. The weird thing is when she said it bothered her, she said she was over-reacting because she was tired and had a back ache that day, so I am not sure what else I am supposed to do in this situation. Well, I can't hang onto it to much. What will happen will happen.

I've been to breakfast and lunch buffets at Hotel Hershey. Very good and pretty inside the circular dining room. They probably won't be as busy and won't have as many fancy desserts out. They are saying maybe snow on Sat though.
I have to take mom to dr on Wed am and they are calling for ice Tue pm into Wed am. Her appointment is 10:10. She needs a shot in her shoulder. Her family dr called it frozen shoulder. She's going to the dr who did her knee replacements. She likes him and has a list of questions. Hope we can go. I hate winter weather.

LITC, it really could just be busyness of the holiday season. I know I haven't had as much time lately. I would just let it go for a little longer and then contact her and see if things are cool.

M&N, they are calling for 1/2 inch of ice here on Tuesday night. You be careful if you have to go out.

Didn't you say you plan on moving there? Keep me posted as to where you end up, for years I have been trying to get DH to move there, and just recently he is finally saying, I am sick of the cold, maybe we should go to Florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometime this year we are moving. We are looking at the areas around Tampa. BIL use to live in Riverview and it was pretty nice there. It's about 90 minutes to the west of Orlando. BIL said housing prices are dropping like rocks down there.

The cold is what is driving us down there too. Disney is a nice perk but it's not the big reason for us. You must have awful winters too. It's fairly warm in my house but I'm still bundled up.

Awesome, thanks Race! I just love Florida, my grandparents moved there when I was 2 and lived there until the passed. So I have been going there for almost 28 years.

Guess I'm the earlybird this morning. I had a decent sleep. Motrin was MUCH better than Percocet for helping the tooth pain. It's pretty mild this morning. i took 2 Motrin so that should get me through til midday when I can take some more. Hopefully it will stay like this and I can go to the dentist on Thursday as scheduled. Eating is interesting. Just soft foods, and even that's tricky. Oh well... I AM going to the gym this morning. Pool class at 10:15 no matter what!

I can't believe my grocery bill lately!! No matter how little I get, even one bag of stuff, I can't get out of there for less than $50. It used to be unusual to spend much over $100 in one trip, now that's a cheap visit!

I had a frozen shoulder a couple years ago. Took MONTHS of PT to clear it up but it's perfectly OK now. Hope your weather holds out for your trip to the doctor!

Hotel Hershey is great. I have chocolate between every trip up to the buffet. Sometimes they have cute little chocolate cups with chocolate mousse in it. YUM! I like it best when they have the little fancy desserts. They have different things on the buffet. Usually things that I don't know and probably would not venture to order a whole dinner of it but it's usually good. If it's your birthday, they bring you a chocolate covered strawberry with Happy Birthday spelled out in chocolate.

Hope the tooth cooperates Whgrn and you had a great time in the pool.

They told Mom she could wait until 8 tomorrow to cancel. I wish it were later in the day. It's supposed to get to 34 I think. Sometimes it's worse here---I'm about 20 miles west of her. I know it's really bothering her but not worth an accident. Patrick is supposed to be good in snow but no car is great on ice.

The 2 things that make me say no to FL is the really hot summer and hurricanes. I can layer for the cold and I know I'm not afraid of blizzards. I can stay put.
