Hi Lighttech's DS3---

I hope you will be able to go outside and have a snowball fight with mommy soon.
10.gif
You are such a good big brother.

Ok...sit down everyone....

MY CAR HAS BEEN RELEASED FROM CAPTIVITY!

I am too excited for words.

Alright, for the sake of my TKers, I'll post something on my rather expansive butt. My only concern is that in the summer heat, will my butt stick to things?

Lighttech...I love Carmines! Are you talking about the family style restaurant off Broadway with no menus and HUGE portions? The Flat Tkers ate there with my sister and I in November. We had the strawberry shortcake. It was as big as my head (and that's significant). My recommendation is to get whatever special they have that night. Its always been amazing.

And while you're downtown towards Ground Zero, go eat in Chinatown. Just go where they have the line outside, sure to be super yummy.
 on the car. And, yes, that's the Carmines. I must have missed that Flat TKers post. I've never tried the Strawberry Shortcake... Yum.
Ok, lighttech, you asked for it.

Yay Magikitty!!!!

:scared1: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: Almost fell on the floor.

We should try for a Sat this spring. There's a QVC warehouse in Lancaster.
You are such a good mommy. I'm going to post a smilie for your DS when I finish this.

I hope you would not be too upset if I did not wear that on my butt...it's big enough. :lmao:

Aww. Thanks. I'm sure DS will like the smiley. He's on the phone w/ DM right now. Its too funny, they make up stories and tell each other. I love just listening while he wanders around. My 2 imaginary friends from when I was little (2 mice named Leafy and Lampy) which DM told him about have become the central characters, and you should hear all the crazy adventures they have.

Everybody else... Hi there! DS is feeling better, but still has a 99.9 fever, so I think I have to keep him home again tomorrow. We'll see. I wasn't thinking, and took it after rest time when he was all tucked up under the covers and in his fleece pj's. I wouldn't mind another day at home, but its a little scary that I'll have used 1/2 of my sick time in January.
:scared1:

DS liked the post. Thanks! He wanted to know which smiley was me and which was him. He decided he was wearing the blue hat. He wants to send some smilies back to you, so here goes...

:laundy:
:dance3: :headache: :headache:pirate:

Sorry, they kind of wound up all over the place. Our mouse does a weird thing and relocates the cursor sometimes...

All I remember is a tunnel and the tall buildings.

I think that's all NY is... tall buildings and tunnels. :lmao:

Racetrack - I love your creation! :thumbsup2 I'd be honored to wear that on my butt. :rotfl2:

Well the :cold: weather is really taking its toll. Schools are closed for tomrrow. (:yay: = kids :headache: = Moms) Its so cold that it is hard to breath out there. I'm tempted to throw a cup of water in the air and watch it freeze before it hits the ground.
Why oh why do I live here?????

Well it is a toasty 3 here with a -12 windchill :lmao:

They have replaced the shower heads in my hall's bathroom with a "green" water saving model.... the issue, the skin tearing water pressure :goodvibes of last week is now a mist:sad1: . I AM NOT KIDDING!!!! and the mist is cold!!!!! so I have spent the day trying to figure out exactly who "they" are so that I can convince them to either give me back my shower heads or buy ones that don't stink!!!!! However I have to yet to find exactly who "they" that ordered the heads is/are! I have spoken to building directors, custodians, custodial directors, Maintenance workers but for some reason no one seems to know who can say PUT THE OLD SHOWER HEADS BACK ON!!!!

Rant over thank you all for tuning in :flower3:

Ah the ever elusive "they." THEY are responsible for so many of lifes woes and worries and for so many poor decisions. :headache:
I can't tell you how often I argue over the logic of a project I have to work on only to have my boss tell me "Sorry, that's what THEY want."
THEY WHO?!?!?!?
Its like the Wizard of Oz. There's some little man behind a curtain pulling the strings and NO ONE KNOWS!

Ok... :rotfl: I think I need some sleep. :rotfl2: I'm just plain loopy now. :dance3:
But, its not my fault. THEY made me do it. :rolleyes1

Don't you just love it when you ask "Who did this?" The reply is "I didn't do it." No wait--that wasn't my question. WHO did it...not who didn't do it.

Well we just had a staff meeting and were told to write emails that our supervisor will send to them :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: WHO WHO can give me back my water pressure!!!!!!!

Hey all!!!

M&N, aww, come on, you have to wear that too. I can make something else too. Not saying it will be any better or any less attention grabbing.

MSP, that sucks about the showers.

I'll wear it on a shirt but not the butt. I wasn't knocking your design. (I was teasing when I said we had to wear it on the butt because that's what you all were talking about.) My butt definitely doesn't need any more attention given to it. :rotfl: I do like a shirt idea.

Well haven't we been chatty!!

Forgot to multiquote, so we're going by my memory here...

MK, 81/77? TAKE ME WITH YOU!!!!!!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!

Bopsmom, i LOVED the link to that store! What an awesome website!

lighttech sorry everyone there is sick. Hope y'all feel better soon.

I've seen Billy in concert. He's awesome! Would LOOOOOVE to see Elton, he's awesome too! And both together? Like a dream come true! Wonder if they'll come to PA this summer? That would be an awesome TK meet!

Saw the oral surgeon, keeping the tooth til next Tuesday (earliest time they had open), going back to the gym tomorrow, going to TRY eating right but we'll have to see how the chewing goes.

I'm very itchy tonite, and I hadn't taken my antibiotic since 8 am so that wasn't it. Not sure what's causing it, but obviously it's something other than meds. Maybe cause I've been having alot of dairy? I mean, yogurt, ice cream, pudding, pastina and milk. Maybe too much? Hmmmm, might have to go dairy free for a few days and see if that helps. Ugh....

On top of that, my throat is sore. I hope it's from the tooth and not the start of something else!

Grease IS the word!!!

Hey Wendy-- Elton=awesome, Billy=super awesome, both=totally super awesome.

Weird, I woke up with a sore throat to, bummer huh? Hope you feel better.

And yes, Grease is the word!

Evening all:

Boy a lot to catch up on again today...I do have one question...I know QVC is your shopping network but where exactly is it?

OMG Ev, you're colder than I am! And here I was complaining about my 9 degree weather (I don't know the translation to Canadian temp....I know, silly American). I just know that it is COLD COLD. Like it makes you want to cry its so cold and just thinking about going out is just too much.

9 degrees is -13 for me! Our's is actually so much easier...0*C freezes water and 100*C boils it. Basically 20*C is a nice spring day and 30*C is pool weather.

Morning!!! Wicked cold here and we haven't even gotten the worst of it yet.
Ev, sending you some :sunny: since I think you need it more than I do.

Thanks I need it...Mind you sounds like D&D could use some too!

I Well the :cold: weather is really taking its toll. Schools are closed for tomrrow. (:yay: = kids :headache: = Moms) Its so cold that it is hard to breath out there. I'm tempted to throw a cup of water in the air and watch it freeze before it hits the ground.

Our kids still went to school but there was no outside recess. I don't know why I live here either!!

M&N
mariezp Me in Jiu-Jitsu, I dare anyone to move me once I'm on the ground. :rotfl:
You are too funny! :lmao: Anybody tried to move me would hear breaking sounds. My poor old bod isn't mean to be contorted like some of them can do! My DS can put his foot behind his head and one of there guys can put BOTH behind his. They work very hard at being flexible. It can be pretty fun to watch... most of them are in very nice shape.

Speaking of HOT topics....
Ya'll are going to have to take pictures of the TKERs in their matching shorts! Too bad I will have to miss out. May be lucky for ya'll cause you girls DON'T want to see me in shorts! I'd either blind you or bring you to tears... from laughing that is! :sad2: I can't even remember the last time these legs saw the sunshine. My idea of the perfect shorts is a pair of capris!

Congrats on getting your car back!
You made me laugh so hard I almost peed my pant! I sure hope you don't get stuck anywhere!

whgrn, YEAH the tooth's coming out!

I have only been to NYC once and that was back in 1976! I remember because we arrived on 4th of July and they were having a big celebration. I had an aunt and some cousins who lived there. I was a teenager at the time. I had to walk the streets at night with one of my cousins going to a babysitting job right near Central Park. I never was so terrified in all my life! We did ride the subway which was a wild experience, and went to go see the Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller Center and a show at Radio City Music Hall. It was like an entirely different world for this little girl from the country!

I've got to make a trip to the doctor tomorrow. I've got a sty or something in my eye. It doesn't hurt exactly but stays constantly irritated. Anybody got any quick home remedies?

Ev, QVC is outside of Philadelphia. Ok, the 0* and 100* thing is easy to remember. But it's the converting I can't do. I'll just stick to using the weather channel to convert it for me.

LITC, I hope you're not catching the cold that's been going around here.

Marie, believe me, we can add the "tkerz r hot" to a pair of capris too. :rotfl: Sorry, I can't help with the eye problem. I had one a long time ago and though it didn't really hurt it was just annoying as heck.

I do capris too.
I got a long list of things WD40 is good for but the eye wasn't listed. Sorry.
I did find this on a web site...
1--Iced or hot, tea always taste great. Now something that adds to the greatness of tea even further. Tea bags could be used for cure of stye in eye. Wet tea bags and place it over the eyes for 8-10 minutes. Use it for several times a day. You would be surprised that this really works and gives a fast relief.
2--Make paste with potato, spread it on a cloth and apply it externally on inflamed eyes to reduce swelling.
Believe it or not I also found one that said to take an eyedropper with a good amount of baby urine in it, drop one or two drops (depening on how large your eye is)directly into your eye. This will cure a sty within minutes. Caution: this may burn and have an unpleasant odor. I would not do this one!

Ewwwwww!

GGRRRRRRR!!!!

I had this really nice post and hit a key on the computer and GONE!!!!! Let me see if I can remember what I wrote.

racetrack: Didn't know Grease was on. We have it on DVD so I watch it when I'm in the mood.

Bopsmom: My family has plans to go to Universal in 2010(December?). I agree with Magikitty and racetrack that the Uni board on the DIS is very friendly and helpful.

whgrn: I think you did the right thing regarding your Ex. Lending money to "family" even if he is Ex is never a good idea unless you are giving it to them as a gift and don't expect to get it back. Pus it sets you up for him to ask for more in the future.

lighttech: Glad to hear DH is feeling better. WOW on the oil running out! We've been close before but have never had it down to sludge. I hope they didn't charge you for an Emergency or something since they are suppose to be keeping and eye on it for the automatic delievery.

Magikitty: I can't believe you'll be leaving in just a few days! Have a good time and enjoy the warm weather. (I HATE YOU! :rotfl: )

LITC: Cool on Billy Joel and Elton! My favorite song from Billy is Piano Man.

Sing us a song you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feeling alright

Have a good day!

I love that one to, it's funny though I spend the whole concert everytime I see him dreading that song, since he ALWAYS closes with it :worried:

:sad1: :headache: Hi Guys checking in via my PC. I have had a terrible day- and just peeked in to vent. Hope you don't mind.
My laptop crashed at 6:15 this morning-It got infected somehow and I thought I had lost our pictures from June and December's trip-DH's 50th Bday party et al. I have spent the day getting them off between harddrive freezes.
DH has been a PITA about this-he said-"Oh I could have told you that you and DD's laptops have not antivirius protections-the subscriptions ran out months ago. You just didn't do anything about it:confused3 and I was just waiting for this to happen!:headache: "
I was pissed! I told him tonight. "If/since he knew and since DD's doesn't have a credit card to my knowledge how is she supposed to resolve this. If he knew mine was unprotected and was waiting for it to crash then you are an a** for pulling that stunt. I told him that being "righteous" might just cost him 2 new laptops and I hope he feels good about letting us down. I can't believe he set up the members of this family for failure and that if he is playing this then I am just that happy that he is out of town." Arrrrrrgh
I have left the laptop with a friend who does programming (both she and her hubby) and she said that it's not looking good. I hope tomorrow is better.
Thank god I had DD put all her Science Fair stuff on the home PC and not my laptop or hers.
Let me add that DH helps EVERYONE with their computer issues(at his work) without complaint or reprimands. He never helps us at home without a lecture or a righteous attitude. He 'gatekeeps' information(like telling me I couldn't use a new thumbdrive to download my pictures today until HE had time to show me how-DUH I have used them before and found out there was Nothing Special about this one-:confused3 ) He makes DD and I feel stupid if we don't know or understand things and honestly, that girl can put together Power Points better than he can.
Rant over-sorry to blister ya'lls ears.:flower3:
