I am into some thrill rides. I don't go backwards, and i have to work up the courage to do upside down. But I love hills and speed!

Good Morning...I got a call at 5:20 to sub today. I hope I can stay awake.
Weather calling for 1-3" south of the turnpike and 3-6 north of turnpike. I have to go under the turnpike to get to Hershey! Probably have to do it next week. Oh well.
Have a great weekend---sickies get better and the rest of you drink lots of OJ! Maybe everyone needs some OJ!:)

Morning all:

Well we go lots of snow overnight...another 8 inches and it's still coming down...it's blowing in off the lake.

Good day to curl under a blanket...too bad I have a million things to do.

Our gas is up around 10 cents as well but it's litres so its more like 20 or 30 cents per gallon. We had it down to 60 cents for a while (which is amazing considering it was 1.50 in Sept) but now it's on it's way back up.

Just took: 1 antibiotic, 1 Prevacid, 2 Benadryl, 4 Motrin...and a partridge in a pear tree! :lmao: Hope I can sleep. Pain is cranking up again...

:scared1: I'm surprised you're still conscience!!!

Have a good day ladies
TTYL

WELL...the Motrin killed the pain. The Benadryl put me to sleep. The antibiotic killed the germs and did NOT give me hives. The Prevacid protected my tummy against the Motrin. And the partridge? Well, that's something silly my dad always says whenever we give a list of something. (now you know why I'm a bit weird--I take after him!)

All this tooth agony has NOT been in vain! I stepped on the scale this morning, worried that the # would be up due to weird eating and no exercise. Nope! DOWN 4.2# !!!!!!! So only 2.8 pounds to go! WoooooHoooo!! And to top that off, I'm not in pain! A little discomfort, but not from the tooth itself--the drain site is a little sore. Some nice cold ice cream (reduced fat, naturally!) make it all better. Yes, I ate ice cream for breakfast!

I see the OS at 11:30 to get the drain pulled out. Hopefully I'll feel alot better then. My face is still swollen so I look pretty funny. I was trying to sing last night at rehearsal, and some of the words came out funny. I hope the swelling goes down enough by Sunday so I don't sound as odd as I look!

OK, so if we are planning a meet in Hershey next summer, I am IN! Only about 2.5 hours from me, so that's an easy ride. And I LOVE Hershey! Ooooh, to see racetrack again, and meet M&N and LITC!! Cool beans!!!

Excuse me while I clean and disinfect this page before I start typing. :lmao: Don't want to get sick.

I don't know what it has been lately with the ice. The past few winters have been like that. I was hoping my kids would get one last good snowstorm but it's not looking that way.
You could come visit me. I'd show the kids a real snowy winter before they go off to live in paradise. :rotfl2: Its snowing here - AGAIN. Getting 5-8 inches - AGAIN!!!

Good God girl... Be careful!!!!

$1.59?????????? gas is $1.95 here. :headache:
Same here. Gas $1.95 - What's up with that? The price per barrel is going down too. :sad2:

Morning!!!! Cold here....a little windy too.

D&DDisney, thank you for the offer but I think that might actually be too much snow for my kids. :rotfl: We are actually suppose to get a few inches over the weekend. Hopefully enough for them to play outside for a little bit. Weren't you debating about taking a camping trip out this way? We could always hold off on Hershey, and not that that is set in stone or anything, until you make it this way.

whgrn, way to go again!!! :lmao: Ice cream for breakfast....sounds like vacation dining to me.

Thanks. I would love to see as many TKers as I can when we visit, but if it doesn't work out such is life. I don't want to hold everyone up - especially since we having picked a date or place to go this summer.
We're still in the planning process . PA is the 1st choice so far. We'd probably come in late July or early Aug. I'd actually like to hit PA and then go to DC too, but we'll see. Any good campgrounds near Hershey? How far away is Sesame Place? (DS6 still wants to go there too.)

whgrn That picture was funny. Hope the swelling goes down. Less than 3 lbs to goal! :cheer2: No I wasn't implying you were whining. :flower3:

It's supposed to get to 69 degrees today. Then another cold front. Still no precipitation. :sad1:
I've always wanted to go to Hersey. :woohoo: Too bad it's so far away.
To all the sickies: remember rest and liquids. (maybe the recipe? :drinking1 ) ;)

You can have some of my precipitation!

DL55, what I wouldn't do for 69 degrees. Just thinking about makes me warm. Ok, not really but it was worth a shot. :lmao:

D&DDisney, if you are looking to go to Philly, Sesame Place, Hershey and places around there, you might want to look into campgrounds in Quakertown. It's about 30 from Philly and maybe 1 1/2 hours from Hershey. I did a quick search http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-...&oi=local_group&resnum=1&ct=more-results&cd=1 I have never been camping so I can't say if they are good or bad.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: You are tooooo funny!

And no, you're NOT chopped liver! I was just saying that those were 2 people who were planning to go. If I had my way, I'd get to meet ALL the TKers!!

Well, the drain is out and it feels better already. I've been referred to an allergist, who I will talk to on Monday and arrange for testing--IF it can be done. He said it may not be possible to test for the specific meds we're considering. So what does THAT mean? I can't have IV sedation because i MIGHT be allergic to something they'd give me? Puhleeeeeze! I just want this *&%$& tooth OUT!!!

DD decided to "test" the stove this afternoon while I was out moving my car. I came in to a kitchen reeking of gas!:scared1: "Why do I smell gas?" (as I'm prepared to evacuate the house immediately!) "Oh, I decided to test the stove". Uhhhh, WHAT? Yeah, she decided to turn on the gas. NOT the flame mind you, just the gas. :confused3 Needless to say, my little chef is banned from any and all cooking for the next week. Which is quite upsetting to her, since she's been waiting all this week to cook tonite's dinner!

We are supposed to get snow all day tomorrow and into Sunday. I hope we don't get much. Y'all with your drifts and measuring in feet instead of inches can KEEP the snow! This will NOT be me this weekend:

Congrats on the weight loss. Ice cream for breakfast :woohoo: Plugged Hershey into Mapquest...it'll take me 9.5 hours!! :scared1:

Love the cleaning smileys :lmao: Too bad the gas isn't in gallons though...use to be your gas was a lot cheaper...now not so much.

You can have some of my precipitation!

I have extra I can send too!! I think between us would could send at least a couple of feet of snow and not miss it. :rotfl:

Evening ladies.

NO MORE SNOW! :cold:

Love those smilies

NO MORE SICKNESS!

Love Hersey Chocolate :thumbsup2

I am ready for another night cap :drinking1

Night all
chat later.

Good evening TKers!! Hope everyone is well today. It is SNOWING here like crazy! It is so bad out. We probably only have 2 or 3 inches right now, but it is coming down fast and furious. We are supposed to get 12 inches :scared1: . I HATE snow. I had to go to a partylite party and my friends house and driving home was a nightmare. So glad to be safely tucked in the house now!

So glad people are thinking about Hershey!

Ev-It's 7 to 8 hours from here, not to much less than you.

So glad you got home safely. Now STAY THERE!!!

I think they should come further this way like Niagara Falls!!!;)

Ooooh, Niagra Falls sounds like fun too!

So far we just have a dusting, and it's sort of flurrying out there at the moment. Supposed to get 3-5 inches of a good ol' New Jersey "slop storm" (as my DDad calls it)--snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain. YUCK!

Night Sukie!!! A nightcap, recipe, heck just a shot sound pretty good right about now.

DH will be coming home on Saturday. It's only been a couple of days this time so it hasn't been too bad. 1.90 savings on gas. :scared1: We can only save a max of 1.00 on ours. Trying to wait until we have that many points and then just fill it.

I don't know what it has been lately with the ice. The past few winters have been like that. I was hoping my kids would get one last good snowstorm but it's not looking that way.

We usually get our big storms in March. Is that the same w/ you guys? I know we're not far, but its amazing how the weather patterns can be so diff't across PA.

I will wish for very very good weather for you ladies! That would be such a fun trip. I really hope I make it there one day. Did they close the amusement park there? I thought I heard they were going to do that.

I am sure trying to figure out that recipe!!

Nope, Hershey's still going strong. And, its a great park too.

Ah, the sisters and their "recipe". I could use some of that right about now...

Just took: 1 antibiotic, 1 Prevacid, 2 Benadryl, 4 Motrin...and a partridge in a pear tree! :lmao: Hope I can sleep. Pain is cranking up again...

Sounds like you've got quite your own little "recipe" going there... My goodness!

Night M&N!! If I don't catch you again before you leave, you be careful if you end up driving on Saturday.

LITC, Hershey Park is still open. We just went this summer and met M&N. It is really a great park...my favorite next to Disney of course. I think it is the perfect family park. Plenty of thrill rides but lots and lots for the little ones. We live about 90 minutes from Hershey and about 10 minutes from another semi-major amusement park. We would rather drive to Hershey than hit the local one.

  LOVE Hershey! I totally agree. Next to Disney, its my favorite park. Although, we went to Knoebels a few years ago for the first time, and that was a ton of fun too. Have you ever been there?

I think they should come further this way like Niagara Falls!!!;)

Since we all like amusement parks, maybe we could compromise and hit Cedar Point. That's been on my list for years. Or, perhaps we should just set up a cross-country TKers park trip. We'll start on the East Coast and work our way West to DL. :woohoo: :rotfl:

Cedar Point works...haven't been there since I was around 14 and we won't go into how long ago that was..:rotfl:

Hey Guys! :wave2:

I've been away for awhile- but I've been lurking:surfweb:
DM is getting somewhat better-still coughs a lot.

I have been having problems working machines lately so I haven't been using too many until I get my confidence back.:rotfl:

I curbed my Prius Wednesday after taking Mom back to her house and blew out a front tire. I got cut off while making a left turn when some !&*#& driver lane changed into my lane:headache: Luckly I didn't do any more damage than a blown tire. The tow truck was gonna take 2 1/2 hours so I decided to change it myself. THX Dad for making me learn how:hug: because DH was a PITA about it. I got everything out, got the jack under, but couldn't break the lugs using the stupid tire iron that came with the car. All the time in the center esplanade of a 4 lane highway!!!! I called DH to come help me break the lugs, but was worried that I might have done more damage than the tire/alignment.
DH actually calls me back on the cell(he was about 15 minutes away at the time and say "well, what do you want me to do about it.....you know more about cars than I do either change the tire yourself or wait for AAA...:scared1: " I hung up on him and called my mom, she called him back and let him have it:laughing:
I just picked it back up this morning. Dang $150.00 for just a tire:faint: thank goodness I didn't rip up the undercarriage.

Yesterday I ruined a complete load of laundry-granted I was washing darks but some of DD's sweaters had white collars and cuffs-well now they are a lovely shade of pink:headache: thanks to something that was red and not colorfast. She is steamed and was yelling that I had to go out with her today and buy her more clothes- I told her she looks good in pink and will be doing her own laundry-separately- from now on-I'd only done this load because I needed more darks to make a load. Jeez, try to help a kid out.

Thank you for letting me vent-

Now,
I hope Wendy that you are feeling better real soon-watch those med cocktails!!!!!

Trip Planing.....:goodvibes
I would love to go to Cedar Point or Hershey--we may be up in Ohio this summer and DD always wanted to go to Hershey. DH's family live 20 minutes from King's Island (fun!) but DD didn't want to do Cedar point at that time maybe this time she would.

We are still planning to go to WDW in June but are cutting it short by a day because I am going to make reservations, need lots of :pixiedust: here, to go back the week of Christmas '09.

 Maybe we should organize a mini-meet and do a direct webcam back.:thumbsup2 for the rest of the group. This laptop had a Webcam:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: Where are you staying????

I haven't made a single ADR for the trip and might just keep it that way but it would be fun to meet up, have a drink or hang out at the pool(the Boardwalk has a great pool) or if there are enough of us do a Grand Gathering or something.

Having a car that is good on gas and nice to drive has really opened up our vacation opportunities. DH, who swore he wouldn't drive on vacation loved driving to FL-he wouldn't even let me drive. Having the nav system really helps him:cloud9: -no arguments about directions:laughing: and no risk of getting stuck in airports!!!

We may drive up the East coast-visit family in SC, my BFF in DC then over to Ohio. Who knows it depends on too many factors right now.

Well, gotta go and finish laundry:laughing: Wish me luck:laughing:
