At the bottom of the page is a different WW ad--with my friend Hunger in it! He is just so cute.

I knew I wasn't wasting time on here! Someone posted a Rainforest Cafe coupon on the Budget Board: $10 off $25. Perfect! I can use it either at AK or Downtown Disney next week.

Hunger is adorable. :lovestruc

Did you say theres a RAINFOREST COUPON OUT THERE???:cool1:

Here's a smiley for Pikester!

Oh no D&D. I'm thinking the tag fairy needs to change your tag to say "free" swap! :lmao:

I got a paper from WW today. I can pay $10 a week as long as I don't miss a week. They are trying to save me money 'during these uncertain economical times.' I should tell them I can save myself 10 a week by not going at all except I would probably get flamed with them saying well you sure need it ****.

Just have to share this email I got today---it says it all!

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the
trip?'

'It was great, Dad.'

'Did you see how poor people live?' the father asked.

'Oh yeah,' said the son.

'So, tell me, what you learned from the trip?' asked the father

The son answered:

'I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end..

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.'

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added, 'Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.'

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing?

Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!

Man we were busy around here this morning. ha ha.

 Bopsmom!...I had to tie Racetrack down until the thread was closed so she would keep her 2 cents out of it! :rotfl:

Whew! You saved her. :rotfl:

is it safe to come out :rotfl2:

mmmmm cowboys

Congrats on your 1,000

Well, I must say I have never been quoted so much outside of this thread.

Thanks guys. I swear, the devil made me do it:confused3
For starters, let me just say, you all have known me-personally-not just over the internet but we actually ARE friends here.
You know that I don't get all high and mighty because of DVC.
It's just a timeshare. It is not that big a deal.

I guess just had had enough of some of those people acting like 'oh, if I don't get this swap my entire trip is ruined' drama. 'How can we afford our wonderful vacation now?'....It makes me angry to see people act that way. Their threads, like ours, are at the graces of the mods and the owner. Their board, their rules. I just couldn't believe how outraged they got when the solution was so simple-go elsewhere and do swaps.
Also, I hate the Disney (or anything that's a luxury) at all costs attitude. If not getting a fridge is going to cause you to go over budget or cancel your trip-you might need to reconsider going or cut something out. In these times, I think everyone needs to be cautious with their money.

I really don't care if the rental board stays or goes either. I personally would never send $$ to someone I don't know for something that important.

It also seems a lot of people in particular have an issue with DVC owners.
Granted some are justified but, again, but we go to great lengths not to be one of those cases. Heck, on the last trip there was a major malfunction with our room and DD had to sleep on the balcony (Christmas Eve no less) We called but, didn't raise a stink about it. They did their best but it didn't RUIN our trip or make us feel like they should comp us our vacation. PoopHappens
I guess I just gave them a name to hate-what the heck,it's not like they didn't already feel that way about DVCr's-this just let them post about it.

I didn't reply to that person btw, there was no point, she was spoiling for a fight-even saying she thought I personally attacked her-the last bastion for people like that-if you don't like a post call 'attack':sad2: She, on the other hand had post deleted left and right.

Thanks guys for your support. I'll try to stay out of trouble, if possible:) :flower3:

You are not high and mighty at all! That is actually what I found so amusing about those responses. I started to respond in your defense, but then decided that would probably make it look like we were attacking and make matters worse so I kept my big ol' nose out of it. :rotfl: I think you were 100% right! Good for you.

It made for an exciting night! I sure would not want my family pics on someone else's cd either. I just posted my opinions elsewhere and the opinions were not against the DIS's rules. I just know flames fly! You just cannot have opposing opinions anymore and we've discussed that before. Sometimes the mood is right and you have to express yourself...I'm with you! I just don't want a Missing Bopsmom in our siggies!

It sure did ha ha. Bopsmom and "crew" were the entertainment of the evening. :rotfl:

I agree about opinions anymore. Take Ms. California. Whether you agree with her opinion or disagree with it, she is entitled to it. The stink being raised over that is really making me mad! Since when is it not okay to have an opinion? (and her opinion was not insulting to anyone btw...just an opinion)

I saw something the other day on TV that looked really cool to do at Epcot. For those of you who are staying long enough, your child can work with Kim Possible for an adventure.

Disney's Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure is an ultra interactive quest at Epcot theme park based on the Disney Channel animated series, Kim Possible. Transform into secret agents, join Team Possible and help save the world from super-villains with the help of a high-tech "Kimmunicator".

Here is the link http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/epcot/attractions/kim-possible/

marie: I thought of you when I saw this because from reading your DL trip report I noticed that your DH and DS often go off to do rides while you and your DD do other things.

Man! Can only kids do it? People always forget about us big kids.

hee hee, its so cute when they think they're smarter than we are. Or that they're trying to do something that we've never done (yeah, right!). Been there, done that, even did it better than you!

Ha Ha. DD got her cell phone taken away today at school and said her teacher does not understand that sometimes people need to contact her. :rotfl: That a person can't just go 6 hours without contact from the outside world. I told her that her teacher probably would not understand because we went to school for 6 hours with no contact from the outside world. :rotfl: Her answer? Things change.

And they are probably staying at the GF with free dining and sharing a Photopass and pool hopping!

[

You forgot and refilling thier resort mug at the wrong resort and making salad from the cheeseburger fixins bar. Ahhh, good times, good times. Kinda makes me want to go read some trip planning forums. :rotfl:

Oh, I didn't even know about the photopass sharing thing. I would have never thought of that in a million years ha ha. I don't really have an opinion about it. :)

Hey pepper! You forgot one.....parking at the contemporary and walking to the MK to avoid paying parking fees. And don't forget the coffee pot to cook your hotdogs. :rotfl::rotfl:

Hey guys
just checking in-I was busy polishing my tiara and stocking the wine cellar but I managed to find time to come online. The chauffeur was late getting precious home from her lessons this afternoon-you would think that she(see I am very equal opportunity/non sexist when I hire my staff )would know that bringing Darling home so late interrupts high tea. I had to just skip high tea and go straight to happy hour. It totally RUINS my 'me' time. :snooty:

Have a great trip MK:goodvibes
Tell them you are DVC at the guardhouse at the Boardwalk and they will let you into the Super Duper, Super Secret, Double Private places that those 'regular' people don't get to experience. Better yet, just tell them you are my friend and I am allowing you in.

Aww man, I knew I should have booked WDW this year. Since I actually know some royalty this time (now that you've let it slip), I could have gotten a few perks.

You have any pull over at Universal?

:lmao: LOVE IT!! :lmao:!!!

So are we going to have to call her "Bopsqueen" now or will her highness do??

How about "QueenBops"?

I'm starting to get a little excited because I get to help a friend of Sukie's plan her Disney trip this weekend. She is going with her DH and DS6 the first week of August. They will be staying at Pop. We (me, Sukie and Friend) will be meeting at Sukie's to go over ADRs and touring plans. Her DH doesn't want the trip planned to death but we've told her that it's a good idea to atleast have a mental plan for what you want to do each day. I'm trying to save her from having to ask the dreaded "So, what do you want to do? I don't know, what do you want to do?" questions. Or the "So, where do you want to eat? I don't know, where do you want to eat?" The only thing I'm getting a little concerned with is that the August Park calender hasn't been released yet. That would have helped to make her ADRs. I do have touring plans best days to go info so I'm hoping that is good enough.

Oh what fun!!! Remind her that it will be hot, hot, hot. And when she thinks it won't get any hotter, it will. Take advantage of the free ice water.

Oh you lucky duck! Planning a trip is just as fun..well almost..as taking one!!!

They are early risers so I'm suggesting the get to the parks for opening and then go back to the hotel pool for the afternoon and then go back to a park for the evening.

Aww man, I knew I should have booked WDW this year. Since I actually know some royalty this time (now that you've let it slip), I could have gotten a few perks.

You have any pull over at Universal?
No, Universal is not Magical Enough and they don't have a castle or treat me in the manner I am accustomed. I got a free 2 day pass during that Superbowl Promo.(as DD says, "I'm Awesome that way)
Truthfully, We were talking about trying that at Christmas maybe I will honor them with my presence......maybe.

So are we going to have to call her "Bopsqueen" now or will her highness do??
Your majesty will do.:snooty:

That is the only way to survive the heat and humidity down here.
There is a reason for siestas(embrace the custom) and truth in the phrase "Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid-day sun".

Go early-Rope Drop, collect up FP's leave at 11-11:30, *SWIM & REST or just REST,then go back after 4 and use the passes, watch the shows.

*Remember swimming in a pool with warm water (which it will be) may feel OK at first but, you can and will get heat exhaustion. By end of July/August here we find the water can be too hot to swim in. We plunk blocks of ice in the pool on those days. Be Careful

Don't forget your Gold Bond Powder(don't get the extra menthol one though):thumbsup2 Laugh all you want but that stuff works!
