Hey Pike! So sorry you are having so much trouble, the last few days were terrible for me, it's a little quicker today, but could be better.

Good morning everyone! Gray and cloudy here, expecting rain sometime this afternoon. According to the weather guy, we apparently need the rain. How I beg to differ! After the winter we've had? Has he not seen the mud trap that is my backyard?

Congrats Pikester on the vacay plans! I'm so jealous that you're going during the holiday season. Its just so beautiful and special at that time.

I take some solace in hearing that the boards are slow for everyone. I'd like to blame all my computer issues on the Dis. But its more like my own incompetence. I have no idea what I did, but boy did I do a good job!

I see that the free dining promo came out today! We're reserved for the first week of October. I think BF is just resigned that I'm going to get my way and we'll go during free dining....with the chipwich argument and I threw in last night that with my AP, we can get discounted tix to MNSSHP too. And with F&W during that time, we'll really be roly-poly by the end of the week!

I didn't watch the second half of AI...anyone stand out? I didn't vote either...

Have a good day everyone! Seems most of the country is up for some wild weather the next couple of days. Everyone stay safe and dry!

Afternoon! We have the cloudy and rainy weather too. It just looks so icky here. Hopefully, they are right about tomorrow's forecast....65 and sunny.

We've decided not to go to Sea World this vacation. Our last 3 vacations have been to Disney and they have been go, go, go all the time. Even though we would try to have down time, it never worked out that way. There was always something planned. DH has been pretty stressed at work and I think he really needs some time just to relax. So, now, we are going to have one entire day just to hang at the hotel and do nothing. I'm hoping it will do us all some good.

Magikitty, I'm still having some problems posting over here. Sometimes I just give up and come back hours later. I can't post in color anymore. Are you staying at Pop again. I can't see the bottom of your second ticker.

Hi Racetrack! this is great napping weather, isn't it? I'm so blah...

yes, we're staying at Pop again. We were between staying onsite with free dining, or staying offsite for the Christmas season. Either way, we still rent a car. With my AP, we only have to get one day passes, and with one night of MNSSHP, we can get BF's ticket for the rest of the days using my Disney rewards. Its cheaper for us to do free dining.

Hopefully at Pop this year, we'll stay closer to the main hall. Last year we were all the way in the back, and while it was quiet, it just wasn't as festive. BF didn't even make it to the food court. I would go and get stuff and bring it back to the room, and that was quite a trek! That was our only complaint about Pop really.

I think its a good thing to plan for a relaxing day. We usually schedule relaxing around our AK day. (how funny to schedule relaxing!) We're usually finished by late afternoon, and we go offsite somewhere. Either we go to the outlets and just sit outside and people watch, or we go to either Downtown Disney or Citywalk just to relax. We're not really pool people and we feel its such a waste of good weather to be cooped up indoors.

Although our plans are for Sept 29th, we're heading down the day before just to relax and maybe go on the sunset gambling cruise. Drive down to Cocoa and just ease into our vacation. We'll stay offsite for one night; Hotwire gives really great discounts. I was able to book a Holiday Inn next month for $42/night with all taxes.

I keep talking like our September trip is set in stone! I warned BF though that if he doesn't want to go with me, I'll just have to go solo!

Any idea when M&N is coming back? I miss her so!

I was going to say that I've been having better computer luck with Firefox rather than Internet Explorer, but I just crashed. So that's no help.

Magikitty, I don't blame you for wanting a closer room Both times that we have stayed at Pop, we've been in the back. It was nice for us so the kids could fall asleep easier. But when I just wanted to hit the food court for a cup of bad coffee, it was a pain in tushie.

Yeah, it seems funny to schedule relaxation time on vacation. Isn't vacation suppose to be all about relaxing? :rotfl: I'm really trying to do that this time. We have 4 full days for the 2 parks so we should have plenty of time just to chill. :cool2:

I've been using firefox for a few months now. I don't like internet explorer too much. It would always crash on me. Drove me nuts.

A gambling cruise sounds great. I'll have to try to remember about them when we move down. Sounds like something DH and I would like. We've been slowly leaving the older 2 kids home to babysit the younger ones. We are up to 2 hours as of tonight. The house and the kids were all in one piece when we got home so I consider that a success. :rotfl:

Good evening ladies!

We started out with sunshine this morning but it didn't take long for it to cloud up. We had a few sprinkles this afternoon and then a very short shower. I think we are suppose to get more rain over night and into tomorrow morning.

We finally told DS7 that we are going back to Disney this year and he said "I wish we could go tomorrow." Gotta love that kid!

I knew I was going to say something else...We've stayed in the 70s building #6 Lakeview, 3rd floor and we've stayed in the 50s building #2 Lakeview/Fireworks view, 4th floor. The 70s was alot closer then the 50s.

We stayed in the 50's too but I'm not sure what building it is. It was the 3rd (maybe 4th) floor of the building right next to the giant jukebox. Perfect view over looking the pool.

We stayed in the 80's last year. Way in the back, behind Roger Rabbit. We were next to the parking lot so that was convenient for unpacking the van. We could also take a short cut to the buses through the same parking lot.

Is anyone out there or are y'all watching Hells Kitchen???
My new plan of exercise is to put the computer in the other room so I'm running back and forth.
I like your thinking girl! :thumbsup2 That's why I have my computer upstairs. I figured out that if I go up and down my stairs 14 times that burns 60-90 calories.

Ev, once we move, I'm sticking a tv in the garage and DH can just stay out there with his truck. :rotfl2:
:lmao:

Hello Ladies!
I have been trying to post for two days now! Something is seriously wrong with the DIS for me. It won't let me post like I normally would so I have to use the quick post. I was so angry earlier that I was actually crying thinking that I wouldn't be able to talk to you guys. Lame, I know but hey, I like talking with all of you!
DH made the official ressies for out Nov 29th-Dec 6th WDW trip! I am so excited! I can't believe that we are going back so soon. My DH is just like the rest of your DHs and BFs. He always jumps in with HIS trip plans a few weeks before we go and they almost always interfer with MY trip plans.
Hi Pikester. Sorry you're having trouble. Glad to hear you're going back to Disney!

I see that the free dining promo came out today! We're reserved for the first week of October. I think BF is just resigned that I'm going to get my way and we'll go during free dining....with the chipwich argument and I threw in last night that with my AP, we can get discounted tix to MNSSHP too. I didn't watch the second half of AI...anyone stand out? I didn't vote either...
:rotfl2:on the roly-poly after free dinning!
I watched all of AI and only Adam and Allison stood out. I still voted for Danny though!

We've decided not to go to Sea World this vacation. Our last 3 vacations have been to Disney and they have been go, go, go all the time. Even though we would try to have down time, it never worked out that way. There was always something planned. DH has been pretty stressed at work and I think he really needs some time just to relax. I hear ya! We always schedule a "down day" if we are going for a week or more. It's good for the kids too.

Well, we are supposed to get some awful weather on Sat - the day of my DS10's b-day party. :headache: Maybe up to a foot of snow.:scared1: This is just crazy - ITS SPRING FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!!!! Could end up with a bunch of family stuck at our house. :sad2: Would rather be stuck w/ strangers, so please pray that these weather forecasts are wrong.

I had heard that you could see the fireworks from the Jukebox building so we requested 4th floor Lakeview in that building. It is right on the parking lot and since we drove to the parks or TTC it worked great for us. It wasn't a bad walk to Classic Hall except when my feet were really tired. DH wants to be closer to the Hippy Dippy Pool this year so we are requesting 60s building #4 (Play-doh) 4th floor, Lakeview/Fireworks view. I guess we'll see what we get when we get there.

The 70s building #6 felt closer to Classic Hall and the Hippy Dippy Pool. I would have no problem staying there again if we don't get our requested building.

I forgot to say that I do realize that parking will be further away from the 60s building for us but we don't mind the walk.

D&D, SNOW!!! :scared1: That's freaking nuts. I will definitely send warm thoughts your way. I could never last being snowed in with my family. Unless, of course, I had a pitcher of margaritas. :lmao:

Pikester,, we must have been on the opposite side of the building as you. We never put in requests. I figure the more I can DD5 walk, the better. She is very full of energy and it takes forever for her to burn it off.

We stayed in the 50s building (bowling pin stairs - pool view). Was very close to parking lot too. Not that close to the food court, but the exercise did us good.

Almost time for ER!!!!

Snow! Snow! Go away! Come again when D&D has had enough booze!

Have a good night ladies! I'm off to sleepy land.

Night Pikester!!! Catch ya later.

D&D, How are things going with DS? We've had some pretty good bumps in the road with mine. I sometimes think that he only expects negative attention and that's part of the reason he acts out.
