Four men and a Lady...My first Pre-Trip Report

I haven't stayed there, but they have pretty good reviews on the tripadvisor.com website. I read through a few of them, and it sounds like a good place to stay to me. It's ranked #6 out of 58 Panama City Beach hotels.

Thanks, I looked it up and everyone has nice things to say about it. The only problem is you have to stay at least three nights. So I just threw it out and considered just driving. Then yesterday while working I decided to send them an email and ask them could I possible stay just one night since my kids never have seen the beach and they said yes, as long as I pre-pay!!! I know this was not in the budget to begin with, but guess what it has a FULL kitchen in it so we can pack the groceries we will cook at night and at breakfast in the van and will not eat out! Heck that will pay for the hotel itself!!!

Now I was thinking instead of lugging all that luggage into the hotel room I would just throw some clothes for all of us in an overnight bag and just take that in. We will leave at 3:00 p.m. Wed and drive to we get there which is around 7 hours. Then get up early and let the kids enjoy the beach awhile and then leave around 10:00 a.m. I can't wait!

My husband was NOT happy that I pre-paid for the hotel room. In fact he does not even want to stay. Oh well!!!!! We are going right past it why can't we just stop by the beach?????? He is such a grouch!

That's awesome you were able to get 1 night! I understand about grouchy husbands. Since you're saved up all the money for your trip, your husband should be happy you're willing to take him!

Maybe once your DH is walking on the beach with his feet in the sand and NOT AT WORK, he'll be excited. Isn't it frustrating to be so excited about something and to be all alone in your excitement? My DH does not get the Disney fever.
Good decision to book the room...it's like a whole 'nother vacation!

I know what you mean...he does not get excited, if I even mention Disney world or the room or anything related to this vacation he just rolls his eyes!!!

I got the confirmation for my room last night! Heck, I am just excited to stay on the beach!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it! I went to wally world Saturday and got all the basics, but I have not bought groceries yet! We are leaving at 5:00 a.m. Wed. morning!!!!!!!!

I started packing but am not done yet!!!!! Ahh the dreaded ride! I go tomorrow night to rent the van. So much to do in so little time!

I am going to give a full report when we get back!!!!!
