With the four day Wonder, is it truly missing a lot by taking the cruise without the stop at Freeport and having the day at sea? Or, are there just too many things to do on the ship that it is good to have the day at sea?

What time is it suggested to arrive at the port for check-in?

How is the Discover Atlantis tour? I'd really love to see the resort. I assume with the 11AM tour we'd be able to try one of the resort's restaurants. What would be the best choice for lunch?

I have seen some meantion of the Radisson at the Port being a good hotel. Anyone stay in the "1BR Whirlpool Suite" that comes with their cruise package? Is it the suite with two king beds pictured on their web page?

Thanks! :)

We have stayed at the Radisson two times already with a third booked for 1/3 for our 1/4 c ruise.

We have had the whirlpool suite twice, once with the 1 king bed and once with the 2 king beds. The price is the same, it is just what is available at time of booking. The suites are very nice and I plan to take some pics this time that I can post. There is a separate bedroom with either 1 or 2 king beds and a beautfiful marble shower area. The whirpool is in the bedroom. French doors separate the kitchen/living room area. Sofa bed that turns into queen bed and table with four chairs, micro, fridge, sink, cabinets, etc.

You don't need to take the cruise package. We have stayed both times for only $99 per night for these rooms with the FALL code and with the VISTA FLA code. I believe you can park for free for the cruise if you stay there.

One note about 4 day with or without Freeport stop. I had originally booked our Wonder cruise with the day at sea, but since DCL had renewed their contract we ended up with the Freeport stop. Since I had studied the day at sea Navigators, then had to start looking at Freeport ones, I really couldn't tell a difference, except for the character meet and greets. It seemed to me that they had the same offerings, but with a LOT less people since a lot will still go ashore. It was wonderful to be able to sit at the Mickey Pool and have it not be TOO crowded. If I were to do the 4 day again, I'd probably do it with the Freeport stop and not get off the boat until I got to Castaway. I wouldn't make the mistake of getting off the ship in Nassau again!!!! Now, if you plan on visiting the Atlantis, that probably would be o.k., but I wouldn't do anything else. I wasn't too impressed with Nassau, and wouldn't get off again.

We stayed at the Radisson the night before our Dec. 15 Wonder cruise. 1BR whirlpool suite with one king bed - - two kings weren't available. My husband was impressed with the room (and that's saying a lot...he's not very easily impressed!). We took our rental to the port rather than leave it at the hotel...it was so convenient on debarkation day to just walk across the street, hop in the SUV and head to WDW. We were on our way by 8 a.m. As far as check-in times, we arrived at the port approx. 9:45 a.m. and they wouldn't let us into the luggage drop-off area until about 10:15. It was practically empty at that time...we didn't get to board the ship until noon.

If I were to do the Atlantis tour again, I'd skip the Disney excursion package and do it yourself. If you do it "with Disney" you are in for A LOT of walking. (The Atlantis tour itself is a lot of walking.) With Disney, you are walked to the tender, then from the tender dock up to the Atlantis...a big jaunt! Then after walking all through the Atlantis, you have to walk all the way back to the tender and ship. My suggestion would be to take a taxi from the ship to the Atlantis. It's only about $4 a person and there are lots of nice taxi guys to meet you as soon as you step off the ship. They drop you right at the front door. Depending on the traffic, this ride took us about 15 minutes max. Then you can go inside and take the tour of the hotel. When you're done doing and seeing all at Atlantis, there are plenty of cabs right out front to take you back to the ship!

We stayed at the Radisson, but had the room with 2 beds. It was nice. Try the pizza place next door for good pizza and excellent, casual pasta dishes!

going back in 3 months...can't wait.
