DAY ONE
We had a pre cruise stay at the Grand Floridian. We arranged a town car it arrived at the port around eleven am. The line was not long and we were soon in the terminal. We were staying on the concierge floor, so we checked in and after a short wait boarded after the family of the day. We went to the concierge lounge and had snacks and wine while they went over our itinerary. We then went to cabanas for lunch. DH loved the seafood and large shrimp. Our stateroom was ready and our one bedroom suite was more than enough space for three adults: me, DH, and DD. We spent the afternoon by the adult pool. It was very nice but there was a constant stream of people walking by us to get to the other pools. Two children went in the adult pool, but were directed to the other pools by castmembers. The fire drill was easy but a long walk from deck 12 to deck 4 and back up again. Nice not to have to wear life jackets. We had dinner at Enchanted Garden. We had a booth which was nice. The first night the service was slow but it improved over the cruise. The food was excellent. We looked around the shops but it was very busy the first night. We went to The Golden Mickeys. We sat in the balcony and had a great view.We liked the preshow which was very funny. After a busy day we went to bed early as I planned to be on my verandah for sunrise.
