Has anyone stayed at the Fountains Resort on I drive? It looks like it may have a lot to do there that may be lots of fun and hotelkingdom has some great rates. Any info???

The Fountains is a very nice resort. They do have an activities director and have many things for the kiddos to do. The pool is very nice and it's on a small lake where you can rent paddle boats. Very easy drive to Disney World also and there is a grocery store and the Disney Outlet right down the street!

We love The Fountains. We stayed there in 2005 and they were fanatastic. We had 3 children with us and like Big V said their children's activities are great. It was my husbands birthday and we had reservations for dinner but we were super tired and just wanted to hang out. It was Memorial Day weekend and they were having a BBQ poolside. It was so much fun. The concierge was even able to get a cake at the very last minute. Our 9 day stay was the most relaxing theme park vacation we have ever had.

Also, we were able to see the fireworks at Seaworld from our balcony!

Be mindful that it is a timeshare but they did not bug us at all. We own with blue green and they asked at time of checkin if we wanted to do an update tour and I told them we were happy with what we had right now and they didn't bother us at all the entire stay.

We just took a walk around the property today, boy has it changed from last year. New buildings, he place was packed with cars and they are building a new pool.

Had several clients stay there over the past couple years, all have loved the resort, especially the pool area.
There is still some construction going on at the property, I've been told it's supposed to be completed by year end but I wouldn't count on it.

We are BlueGreen members and the Fountains is our favorite resort! This is where we stay when we don't do an onsite trip. We've been there three times in the last year and a half! They have a really nice indoor/outdoor pool and a good sized kiddie pool with a fountain in the middle. They are building a water park of sorts with a few water slides and a lazy river. We just upgraded there in May so this is our new "home" resort. I think the water park was supposed to be finished by years end but not sure if that will happen(the old pools will then become the quiet pools). It's a beautiful resort and there are lots of things to do for people of all ages. We love it here, and its a very short drive onto WDW property, very close to a Walgreens, Publix, and an outlet mall also. :)

Good to hear that about the pool. We might try to trade into there next year.

I just noticed on the rci website that there is an oasis at fountains listed too.
I think it is the same resort, but listed under 2 different names. Does anyone know about this?

the oasis is the original timeshare that was there before bluegreen took over

the resort was built by british interests but never got beyond a couple of buildings, bluegreen is completing the original plan and its buildings are called The Fountains...of course you could book the oasis and end up in one of the fountain buildings....not sure how they work that....
