Hello all,
I'm so excited ....I have found more aussie Disney fans!!!! Yay!!!!
My name is Vicky and I too am obsessed with Mickey...:-).
We have finally after years and years booked our first Disney holiday.. Woohoo. We have 194 days to go!!

We are going to Orlando for a week to do all the other theme parks and then we have 12 days in WDW staying at POP... We got 10 day park hoppers plus water parks. Then from WDW. We head off for a 7 day Disney cruise on the Fantasy. We are seriously excited we have waited so long ..I think I started counting at around 600 days..lol
I hope I can ask all you long termers some questions as they come up if that's ok as I'm a newbie...:-)
So excited to meet you all..xx

Hi Vicky :)

I'm currently fulfilling one lifelong dream of a Disneyworld trip, staying at Coronado Springs, flying to NYC tomorrow and last week did a week Western Caribbean cruise (our first cruise ever), then stopping over at Disneyland on the way home.

Sensory overload here I tell's ya!
But amazing!

Best thing about this trip? My DH told me to book another cruise, so hopefully next year we can do it all again, totally addictive!

:welcome: to the disboards :)

:cheer2: Congrats on booking your first trip we all love count downs around here:cheer2:

Welcome!! :cheer2:
It's a fun place here - beware, though!! It's addictive!!!
Have fun planning - your trip sounds great!! :thumbsup2

Welcome from me too! :cool1: Although this board is called Australia, we think of it as the Aussie/Kiwi board so that we Kiwi's don't feel left out. We've tried to get the name changed but no luck yet. :confused3 You trip sounds awesome! After many times visiting DL, we went to Orlando for the first time last year and LOVED it! You need to get a countdown ticker as it makes it feel more real.:cheer2:

Welcome, your trip sounds wonderful. A 600 day countdown is nothing, I am counting down from 2 years for our first WDW trip ! So will you be going in April? I assume that would be really nice weatherwise?

Welcome Vicky!!

Feel free to ask away. I've done WDW twice and cruised the Fantasy this past May. Happy planning! :flower3:

Hi Vicki, :wave2:
Welcome to the AusNZ corner of the DIS, you couldn't find a more friendly, more helpful bunch of Disney nuts anywhere! :goodvibes

The nice thing about this corner of the DIS is that people ate interested in all your travels (anywhere in the world, not just Disney) , trials, and triumphs!

Looking forward to hearing about your plans.

Andona

welcome aboard Vicky. You will love this gang of Disney fans we have on the aussie boards !!

Hi Vicky welcome to the forum.

I know how exciting it is as we are also booking our first Disney trip and like you we will be staying at POP too lol. That is we're staying at Pop century if that's where you're staying.

Looking forward to hearing about everything you've got planned

:wave2: Hello!

If it is April you're going in, then that will be a beautiful time to be there. Flowers are still out, and the weather is swimming weather warm!

Ooh goodie another Disney fan to share stories with! :wave2:

You will be spoilt for choice around here when it comes to WDW! I know I will be asking lots of questions myself when I finally get over my addiction to Disneyland!

So, welcome. It's lots of fun round these parts!!!:cool1:

Welcome to the ANZAC section!!

looking forward to reading about your journey and the trip!

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome.... Just so exciting!!! I have been browsing and browsing these pages for the last few day... I just can't get enough...lol
Becpee, How awesome that you get to book another cruise... My hubby has never been out of Australia and on a major holiday so hopefully he gets the bug..it seems to be working already as he has mentioned about going to England next in a few years...yay. That will be good..Disneyland Paris comes to mind....lol
Alicia1506. That's what our original plan was but we look out LA as I think if we do the west coast we will need way more time and we can save that for another time ...hehehe. Especially as I would love to go to Vegas but I don't want to take the kids ...lol
April 14 th is the day we will leave Perth , I will write up a full schedule as I get the chance...I still have to figure out which days to do which parks as I haven't really looked at any calendars yet.. I'm just so obsessed with this holiday, it makes me so happy...hrhehe:yay: :yay::yay::yay:
My next job is to finish paying off the cruise which is half way done then I will be super happy. And can organize all the little bits after like universal, legoland etc etc
Then I need to watch for flights... I think this is my major stressing issue...worrying a bout who to fly with, are the good with the kids and can I get it cheaper than $3000... I shall keep watching...lol
Again, thank you all for the fantastically warm welcome...so so happy to have found this place...:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

We enjoyed vegas as adults although we didnt do the shows and only had one big drink each. We arent gamblers or drinkers but still had fun with the 1c machines and there is so much entertainment and free attractions and cheap shopping etc :) personally i would not take my children there either but it was fun :)

I agree with you re an east cost versus an east and west coast vacation. We intend to stop in at disneyland on every trip even though our trip will be predominantly east coast because we just cant bear to be so close and not visit...it does add time and extra $$$ though!

We found vaustralia to be the best value for our flights. We get the vaustralia economy promo flights for around 1200 return.. We then intend yo fly delta for our connecting flights as they fly out if the same terminal at lax making transfers easier.. then again we fly from bne - lax so it might be different for you if you are flying from a different airport.

Welcome Welcome Welcome. You are going to absolutely love it here and as others have mentioned, we love hearing about all travels, not just Disney. Looking forward to following your adventure.
