He's totally totally different looking.....VERY hairy. He's grubby and looks like a hermit. Still love him? (I do...but I tend to like the rough and dirty look.)

Just adding that I am in Rochester too!!! Can't wait to see what was inside. I work at one of the High Schools. I bet I could bring over a few hand selected students and if we left them alone with the safe for an hour or two would have it open...no questions asked....lol

Small update;

The safe has been moved from the back of the basement in its little nook in the wall to the other side of the basement at the bottom of the stairs. My husband managed to cut off the hinges but of course the door still won't budge. But at least it is more easily accessible now and the lighting is better so when my brother comes over he can get down to serious business!!!!!

I left my cable to download pics from my camera at work so I can't upload any pics until tomorrow. ( home now)

Slowly but surely this thing will be opened. I am half tempted to go and read the neighborhood thread but with no end, why irritate myself? That will NOT happen here I promise.

Well, the OP can probably advertize for an experienced safe craker in Craigslist, with the description: No questions asked for person who opens safe. Cash paid. I'm sure she might get a few people people who can open that thing in 15 minutes.

OP, with the hinges sawed off now. Be careful when you do get the door open, as it's probably so heavy, it may fall on a foot as it won't just swing open now.
