Found a new italian food gem!

So, DH & I have tried Il Mulino- (not impressed, not HORRIBLE, just "ok") Via Napoli- (Been twice, good for pizza) and Tutto- (Did not care for).

Then we tried Portobello in DTD...WOW. This was excellent!!!
Food was so fresh and well prepared...we were not expecting to love it as much as we did! Just wanted to share...I will be doing a full food review shortly!

We have eaten there twice, a while ago, and thought it was wonderful. Then we heard that they changed owners or chefs or something to that nature and heard that it was not what it used to be. We kind of shied away from it....wouldn't hurt to go back and see for ourselves if the rumors were true or not. Glad you had a great time there .

Although I think Il Mulino is better, I agree that Portabello has always been a nice meal for us. It doesn't get much press here.

It's a hidden gem and hopefully will stay that way. It is FAR better than any of the places that get rave reviews on here.

At least this time we had good servers, but the food was lackluster at best. We won't be going back anytime soon.

not on the DDP or DxDDP right now...there was a rumor going around the boards awhile ago that the rest of the DTD restaurants would be on the dining plans in 2012. Haven't seen anything about the lately but haven't been watching.

We would love this to happen...have tried almost all of the Disney restaurants while on dining plans and want some new ones

Completely agree that Il Mulino is the better meal of the two.
