On the last night of our trip last week, we stopped at the bar at the Poly for a glass of wine, and happened upon their lettuce wraps. These things were "to die for!" One of the best meals of our entire trip. Great flavors: grilled chicken, butter lettuce, shredded carrots and cucumbers, plus another sort of Asian "salad" type thing to layer on that I couldn't identify (but was really yummy!). Roll it all up and dip it in a really good peanut sauce - yummmmm.

Can you tell I liked this stuff? It was great, not just because it tasted good, but because we actually got some vegetables into our diets!! Nice and light and refreshing. (Plus, I think it only cost about $7!)

Give 'em a try! You'll love 'em.

sounds yummy -- thanks for sharing! I'll have to try some next week!:thumbsup2

If you want to try a similar yummy lettuce wrap when you are NOT at WDW get the lettuce wraps at "The Cheesecake Factory" if you are lucky enough to have that restaurant near you. They are terrific, come with 3 different "sauces" for variety, and are on the appetizer menu but I often order them as my entree.

That does sound like a great appetizer, not to mention it contains many of my favorite ingredients. I love carrots. Thanks for sharing something new to try.

I will have to try these next time we are at the Poly.....wonder if you can get them at Kona..

Sounds similar to the lettuce wraps at PFChangs and Pei Wei. Very yummy.

I don't think they're on the Kona menu - we ate there our first night and I didn't notice them. But Kona's seafood chowder and sticky wings were great!

They're different from PF Chang's (which are my favorite lettuce wraps ever!), but still very, very good.

The chicken in the ones at the Poly are large grilled pieces of chicken breast (very tasty), and the ones at PF Chang's are made from minced chicken with other ingredients added (like water chestnuts, if I remember correctly). They taste quite different, but both are very good!
