I found this new cereal in the healthfood section of my grocery store. It might be good for those of us on low carb programs.
Protein Plus Corn Flakes & Whole Grain Rolled Oats.
30% Protein with Soy. Calories 140 Total Fat 1g Saturated Fat 0g Cholesterol 0mg Sodium 130mg Total Carbohydrates 24g Dietary Fiber 3.5g Sugar 12g Protein 12g Ingredients: Soybean Protein Concentrate, Dehydrated Cane Juice Crystals, Corn Flakes, Barley Malt, Wheat Gluten, Whole Grain Rolled Oats, Soybean Grits, Brown Rice Crispy.
I had one little tiny nip of the cereal. It is very, very crunchy....crispy. Thought it might help for those of us who are eating breakfast cereal. It does contain cane juice which is essentially sugar, but seemed to be good otherwise. I would have to do a comparison with other cereals in our home to determine the value. I just looked at the Raisin Bran and Organic rice cereal in the cupboard. This cereal is higher in protein and lower in carbs than the others that I have. Similar sugar content.
Might be worth a try. Though I'd post.
