FOTL procedures

I was told by the person who took my reservations at Hard Rock (and I think by several posts on this board) that since I have booked the Hard Rock for a Friday I can use FOTL and all other onsite priveleges both Friday and Saturday. I have a couple of quick questions on this..

1. Will they hold my luggage Friday while waiting for a room (obviously we will be in the park and may not return until we are done for the day)?

2. How do they notify you your room is ready and how inconvenient is it to leave the park (probably USF) and move the luggage?

3. How do the room keys work after you check out? We will check out before leaving for the park Sat. and drop off our luggage. I assume the keys are just de-activated but stiil have the date of your stay written on them ??..

1. Yes.

2. My guess is they will simply put your luggage aside and only retrieve it and take it to your room when you return to the hotel from the park.

3. Again, my guess is that the FOTL machines read the electronic strip on the card for the date, which is all they need to "recognize" you. I don't think they deactivate the card. More likely the electronic strip is programmed to stop working in the door as of the official checkout time.

at early check in they check your bags and give a baggage claim ticket. All we had to do was go to the desk (or could have called down) and they brough the bags to the room when we officially checked in. they do have to activate the room keys once your room is ready. When we returned form the parks there was a very long line for check in. I asked someone that was walking around it there was anyway to avoid the line and I was told no. About the time he walked away someone approached and asked it there was anyone in line that had done early check in and just needed to get there room number and keys activated. He took my key and one other persons and returned in a couple of minutes. During this time my DH went to conceirge desk to get our bags delivered.

Room keys do have the date on them and are deactivated when you leave. Express pass workers do check the dates.
