We're going up for our anniversary and are going to US/IOA on the 20th of December. We want to buy FOTL passes...how long can I wait before they may sell out? Or do they sell out?

Also, if we buy them last minute do they ship to my house or can we pick them up somewhere at the park?

Thanks so much!

Yes, they do sell out, but only at the busiest times.

If you pre-order at home, you can choose to print them out at a kiosk in front of the park. Very convenient.

I would not purchase Express Passes ahead of time for 12/20 as you may not need them. Universal only sells out at peak times like the week between Christmas and New Years. As Inkkognito posted, you can buy them online and print them out at the electronic kiosk.

Thanks very much! We may buy them just to be safe. We are already getting in for free that day ( a teacher perk that expires the next day so we better use them!) so we don't mind spending some $ there.

We want to do both parks in one day and just hit our favorites. :)

Thanks for the tips!

if you buy them in advance and don't need them, they are non refundable.

since you are going on a saturday, they may come in handy.

have a great time there for your anniversary!

Thank you! I figure if it's the first Saturday of my winter vacation, it could be for tons of other people, too. I rather err on the safe side for our anniversary :)

in the case someone is celebrating a special time in their lives like you are, you should go for it.
if it was me and i was staying off site, i would too.

don't use the express passes if the wait lines are only 15 minutes.
save the express pass for when the lines are long. repeat the ride then.

you can only use them once per ride and attraction.
