I will be taking my family to Univerasal and IOA from 3/30-4/02 for 2-3 days in the park. I am trying to decide if it is worth the roughly $250 a night to stay onsite. I have the ability to stay at the Doubletree right outside of Universal without charge using Hilton Points. I definitely would prefer not too have the long waits in line, but was not sure if I was going late enough to miss most of the Spring Break crowds. We will be going to the parks likely on Friday-Sunday, which I know will be busier. Your advice is appreciated. :sunny:

If you arrive early you should have no problem seeing everything at both US and IOA during a 2/3 day visit. No worries!

The peak of Spring break is the 2nd and 3rd weeks in April. (Although our SB here in Chicagoland is the last week of March)

Will you have to wait 20-30 minutes for some attractions, maybe, but each park is doable without Express passes. The key is to arrive EARLY. The first hour is really the golden hour... you can knock off several of the best attractions in that first hour. Use it well :-)
