Fotl In Summer

We went to Universal/Islands last spring break and had FOTL and it was great-never waited more than 5 or 10 minutes. what is FOTL like in the summer-is it about the same or alot worse- trying to decide when to go next?

That depends on what time of the day you try to use it.
I've been during the summer and had express passes for Hulk at noon. It was a 20 minute wait, the line went to the bottom of the stairs. Same thing on my trip last year in June. Went to USF in the afternoon at 2pm, and the wait for the Mummy was 20 minutes. Again, the line went all the way down the stairs.

That's why I tell most to avoid the park from noon to 4pm. It's hot, and that's rush hour, even if you do have FOTL. I go early, rest in the afternoon, then come back in the evening.

The good thing about summer hours, is the park stays open late. I have the RPR booked for July 6-8, did it on purpose so we could see the fireworks.

Hi Rob,
We're going to RPH during 4th of July weekend and we usually do the same thing in taking a break during the hotter/busier hours of the day (noon to 4).

I also didn't know they had fireworks at USO. Is this a 4th of July thing only? When/where do the fireworks take place?

In the past, fireworks have started on July 4th and run nightly until the first or second week of August. On July 4th they have set them off simultaneously from US, IOA, and Citywalk. It's quite spectacular. Last year, after July 4th, the had nightly fireworks at US. We could watch them from our room at the RPR.
