Hey,

Does anyone have a list of the rides that are *not* included in the FOTL?

And when using FOTL, do you use the express pass line?

Also, I've seen two things about FOTL....1--not able to use in some places until 10 or 11. And another place says that during peak times, FOTL is able to be used from park opening. We're going in June. Which should I plan on? Any ideas?

Finally, I'm one of those "get to the parks at opening and see the big stuff first without a line" people. With FOTL.....do we need to be there at opening or can we really take a relaxed attitude to our vacation and expect to not have to wait in lines longer than 10-15 mins if we go later in the day?

Thanks!

P-Flyers in IOA does not have Express/FOTL. The front row of Hulk cannot be accessed via Express.

For all attractions with Express/FOTL, you go in the express line. Only with a VIP tour do you get true FOTL.

Don't bother using Express unless lines get too long for your personal taste (30 mins is my personal max). Take a relaxed attitude, but still get to the parks early. That way you can snag a front row ride on Hulk and a ride on P-Flyers before the lines get too long. Also, when you go early and the lines are under 15 mins, go through the regular line for Doctor Doom, MIB, Dueling Dragons, and ROTM. Those are fun queues to go through when the wait isn't too long.

Thanks, that's the kind of info I need. I know Disney, but don't know anything about Universal.

:)

Although, if you do want to sleep in, your waits should still not be more than 15 minutes in the Express Line.

We always plan on being at the parks at opening, but with the two hour time difference, my teens balk at being at getting up at 5:30am to get to the gates at 6:30 am (our time) on a vacation.

The times, which is more often than not, that we do not get there till 10 or 11, we still have never waited more than 15 minutes in an express line, unless a ride has broken down - then the queues build up.

We have been at Christmas, Thanksgiving, Spring Break and the busiest summer months. Unless a ride has malfunctioned and was down for some time, causing all the lines to back-up, we have never waited more than 15-20 minutes in an express line.

Do you miss out on any of the pre-ride 'show' by using this ? Does it take away from the buildup and excitement of the ride ?

Thanks

David

We are going to universal aug 15-16 before our cruise and I was wondering how crowded it would be that time of year? We are buying the 7 day tickets for 86.00 and staying off site. I read that you can buy the fast passes online or do you think we can pass on the FOTL and just wing in in the lines. I would love to stay at the hard rock hotel but the budget is going to be tight.

You don't have to buy the express passes in advance. Go and observe the lines first. You can buy the passes in most of the stores.

Yes...most of the time the EP lines are taking you in the "back" way and you don't get to see the full queue. ROTM and MIB are like this and I think you should see the full queue at least once.

Okay, I admit, never been thru regular queue at Mummy....however, we did go thru MIB just for that reason and I was disappointed. The only thing to "see" were the worm guys. They were in the break room and the line went "around" it. I took pix in my summer TR (link below in sig). That was all there really was to see....if you want to see them, go early, but don't wait in the line for it....not worth it...imho. ;)

So on MIB does FOTL bypass the video and elevator ride? Hope so as it is fun once but by the tenth time it gets to be a little much :)

Yes, it does bypass the video and the elevator.
